[UO Herald] Network Maintenance for EU Servers

Update 1:30am CEST: Our ISP just informed us that the downtime needs to be extended and that additional outages might follow. The servers might be unavailable until the end of the planned window at 6:00am CEST.

Greetings,

The Internet Service Provider of our European Data Center will carry out a network maintenance on Thursday, 14th of July. During the maintenance the shards Europa and Drachenfels will be unavailable for login or characters transfer.
The outage is supposed to last no longer than 60 minutes and will happen in the window from 0:00 am CEST to 6:00 am CEST.

We appologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

Can anyone hint me to a link for some official statement either from EA or any other official source related to Ultima Online about this ?

I find it hard to understand that Ultima Online was to be shut down all of a sudden, without informing the player base with an ample and large margin of time.

If Ultima Online was to drop overnight, all of a sudden, without any official statement well before time to inform all of the players, me included, this would be for me the very last drop to adjust my future purchases of computer games accordingly.........

At least for me, the bucket is already very well full and it really needs only a drop more to get it to overspill........
