Apparently not!...
I guess that whole "get 'voted' King by the council you select" thing didn't work out so well, huh?
Draconi.... If you can bring THAT into game I'd be pleased. Though you do know on some shards we've had that for a long time.... though it would be super cool if we could actually pass "laws" that effected things.Apparently not!
Then again, in a perfect world, I'd rather get the *players* involved in a representative government for UO, not a fictional group of NPCs. Other games have made a great success of that concept.
YES! Excellent, excellent news... a Queen at last! Long live the Queen!
Me tooHum......
I would have liked to have attended the coronation.
*feels slighted*
Sl crushed, TB loyal to an abdicated King, Minax loyal to a leader who has been mia for years and COM who are based in a town that was blown to bits.Uhm ... so where does that leave faction fiction? If we now have a queen (one that is not represented by factions), then what are the factions fighting over?
I am happy to read this! Then again, in a perfect world, I'd rather get the *players* involved in a representative government for UO, not a fictional group of NPCs. Other games have made a great success of that concept.
*looks at the threads above and below*Why not let the players determine the fate of their world?
Though officially unconfirmed, reading carefully the Live Events stories you get a hint that Sherry the Mouse helped them to escape and that they later joined Dawn in the Resistance. I wouldn't be surprised if they were nominated ministers in the new Royal CouncilI still want to know one thing... well, two things.
1. Where is Ricardo?
2. Where is Avery?
The Bell of CourageBritannia's thief thrust a hand forward, motioning him to stop. "A lord. My, my, and Royal Ambassador?" Avery managed half a nod and Ricardo continued, "Why, he'll be King at this rate!"
Avery looked up, the pieces all finally falling into place for the loyal soldier.
Without warning a third voice broke through the gloom - a high pitched voice, and somehow tiny.
"Excuse me," Sherry the mouse squeaked, "Need a paw?"
The master thief and grizzled soldier are probably Ricardo and Avery, the young mage is probably Dexter the apprentice and the tiny mouse is obviously Sherry. She [Dawn] looked out upon the assemblage below, a sea of faces all now familiar. Her friends, her followers, simply strangers a few weeks before, now bonded together by blood and fire. Beyond the crowd a slow mist rolled in from the shore, and for a moment, in that deepening fog, she could see all who had ever stood beside her, all who were left behind.
Her eyes caught those of her most loyal comrades, among them a master thief, a grizzled soldier, a young mage, and even a tiny mouse.
Me too!But Draconi!!! I wanted to see Casca die and dance on his corpse!!!
Leadership is defnitely a relative term.Don't forget the Empress in Tokuno, leadership of the lands lays in the hands of women everywhere!
Just curiosly - and in a totally non-binding fashion - to what extent do you wish this to happen?Apparently not!

Truly, women run UODon't forget the Empress in Tokuno, leadership of the lands lays in the hands of women everywhere!

He's good, but he's in the wrong continent... maybe he can get someone to ring whoever does tech support in the UK though, and suggest they do some tech supporting?Draconi, since your up and about can you go and put the Europa hamster back on its wheel please?![]()

I think the Europa server is actually in Germany aswell, i know their aint one in the UK.
Interesting. Yes! If an elected council could issue formal "building permits" that allowed players to construct only what is deemed by the council to be proper, and if these permits required mucho supplies, there may be a way to do this in an orderly fashion and with the kind of control the game would need. Lets put hirelings to work!Draconi.... If you can bring THAT into game I'd be pleased. Though you do know on some shards we've had that for a long time.... though it would be super cool if we could actually pass "laws" that effected things.Apparently not!

Even nicer would be a way to "approve" things like additions to the fairgrounds. New roads, stables in cities like Vesper... and things and have that "happen"...
Sorry, no. I only like Queen Mum's cookies. LOLAll I want to know about the new queen is... does she make cookies?!![]()
Well according to the news from the OP, he's dead. The False King is dead. Long Live the Queen!Just wish I knew where the bastage is hiding so I can dispatch him with much glee meself.
Dawn's married.*Rushes off to gather some Flowers and Dark Chocolates for the Bachelorrette Queen*
That's an easy one. They band together for the good of all, brutally execute her and anyone loyal to her in public, and then resume warring each other.Uhm ... so where does that leave faction fiction? If we now have a queen (one that is not represented by factions), then what are the factions fighting over?
