Nice piece.
I'm glad Dawn's the Queen...I was not a fan of hers when she first came out (didn't hate her, just wasn't a fan), but she's really won me over (and Galen as well for that matter), this time around. She has a lot more personality. Some of this is because she's being played by the EMs. Some of it, however, is that the fiction makes it clear that she isn't a kid anymore.
Though she doesn't appear in this post, her personality comes out to a degree, the way she made the first overture to the Gargoyle Queen. That's what made me think of it.
I thought the Gargoyles were written realistically. The combination of gratitude and suspicion towards us is plausible.
At this point, no one fights off invasions, demonic infestations, and the like, as well as we do. Our assistance thus is of immense use to the gargoyles.
