Really have to agree here, not a single mention of it until the day before it ends? When did it even start?
I renewed my accounts on the 20th and 21st, yet they are due to run out on the 19th and 20th respectively.... no extra 14 days in sight.

I have to admit this one has me stumped, working on staff here at stratics means I am always reading and checking posts and announcements and this is the first I have heard of this also!

I had a few accounts I reactivated and I got the 14 day bonus. I'd check to see when I reactivated, but it's hard to keep track of it now with the new account system. Heck, when an account goes inactive, there's no inactive date. That's something I'd really like to see.

If I had seen an official statement on it before the great idoc event, I may have reactivated my husband's account. We were debating it, but since we were on the fence we didn't. If we had known the above info, we probably would have.

EA may have posted some official statement that I didn't see. My suggestion is that next time you decide to run a "special" like that, splatter that info all over the place and you might find yourself getting more $.

So not only did they post this one hours before the sale ends it appears they posted two days, at least, after sale is already over.

Well yeah we got this notice. There most certainly was not any notice however about or when the Promo began.

Not only that but as stated by some that did get the bonus upon reactivating, you were informed during the activation.

I reactivated an account two days ago. Nothing and there's no bonus 14 days showing on my "end date" either.

I just continue to be amazed at how self-defeating EA is. So many MORE people would both come to UO and stay with UO if there was even a small attempt to freekin' COMMUNICATE with us regarding this game.

For going on 15 years now there appears to be NO ONE within EA that has a clue regarding documentation/communication. Why in the world should we all have to FIND a 3rd party forum (Stratics) to get information on UO? (Not that I don't LOVE Stratics, because we all do - since it's the ONLY place to get any information on UO).

EA - I just don't understand your thinking at all...

Damn...I reactivated an account on Sunday and I didn't see anything about a bonus either. Someone from EA better drop 1,000 gold on me or something or else I will...well let's face it, I'll play more League of Legends, by Riot Games.

Well they don't make $ unless people let it go over the free 14 days without cancelling. So people who WERE going to give money to save houses that would have fallen on IDOC day found out about it and got a freebie refresh. Had they e-mailed everyone or posted it everywhere people who had no intention of paying a dime to keep the houses would have also done so.

Their timing was horrible as it is. It should have been done AND announce at some time other than when house decay was turned back on.

I wouldn't doubt if all the refreshed houses from the 14 days now count as Return to Brit houses too and will never decay again. Screw up after screw up, unfixed bug after unfixed bug, that would just be a cherry on top...

Ditto, did one 2 days ago & I received no bonus.... Poorest CS in the industry all I have to say for EA/Bio/Mythic

Back in August, when I made the changeover to the new system, I had the following occur:

I had 3 accounts, 6 months plan (or is it really 180 days?), due the first week (+/- a few days or so) of October, November & December.

The December one had no noticeable change (MIGHT have gotten 2 weeks, after falling to the end of November, but not sure)
The November one got 2 weeks added to it, moving it to the 20th.
The October one got SIX weeks added to it, to where it ended the SAME DAY in November.

My balanced "pay one account in 6 months of the year, when bills are lowest" plan got royally botched by what free time I got, as it pushed all 3 accounts to be due in a period less than a month (closer to 3 weeks, in fact). My finances are still messed up from that, as the bank account was shared by my mother and she assumed I'd already paid the UO stuff based on teh days marked on our calendar.

I don't know if those were the "2 free weeks" I got (actually added up to 8 total weeks for 2 accounts), or just an artifact of the changes to the system, but it was a pain. Who would have thought free time would have a negative impact.

And it wasn't just one person, but a couple of hundred, all posting the same thing.

Well, I tried logging with an inactive account that I had, to see if the 14 days free option was available, and it did not let me in.

Yes, I am sure that the login and passwords are correct because I had them written down in my special login/passwords paper notebook.......so, no possible mistake here.

If this inactive account was not openable, this means that this 14 days thing is not working.

It clearly says 'renew' it says nothing about 'resubscribing' after random amount of inactive month.

So not only did they not tell anyone, they also dont seem to understand what the details of the promotion are.

I suppose one consolation is, not only dont we know what this promotion is about, but EA/Mythic/UO dont know either.

That's just really bad CS, bad website design and really crappy Promo execution.

Nowhere does it say you only get the 14 day bonus if you reactivate a certain way i.e. manually reentering payment info.

Given the exceptionally poor working account management system, exceptionally poor experience many people had with the account migration, exceptionally poor customer service support EA provides to its UO customers, and exceptionally poor communications regarding this "promotion"

And given that currently I am not having any issues with my one active account.

Does EA think I am stupid enough to even attempt to re-activate my old account?

I have far more confidence that EA would screw up my current account than re-open my other account with out serious issues should I make any attempt to do so.

You have no way of knowing they were all filled with free accounts.

Regardless they all have to be sold/traded to active accounts or they'll all fall too in 90 days or the holder will have to pay again.

Errrrrr something called ''common sense''....LOL....Its not rocket science u see the promo...go to open an old account and u get 14 free days play b4 u are billed for a month...so u can place for free..place an sell to make some quick gold...or simply place on other shards u wish u had a house on too....BINGO!!

I know for fact a dozen idocers that have placed for extra 90 day storage and placed houses on several shards and freinded there main account to them...okies only 90 day storage... but hell...i will take some of that...my own house as got like 100 free secures...i need all the extra storage i can get!!
