Good question. We never did see a goodbye message from .. well. Some people seem to fade into the night. We wouldn't have known without Stratics' posts that some were gone at all. I do hope we hear something soon, now you have me worried.

O'brian dear ......... I was raised to be gracious when another made an accomplishment, giving to that person the small gift of a happy congratulation. Petra has been there for everyone of us.... no matter her feelings about the subject, day in and day out. I have seen her here posting and working ill, through hollidays, and still have a happy word for all.
She deserves that tiny bit of your thanks and grace of mind that would be peace for one tiny post of gratitude for her hard work. This is not too much to ask now is it?
As for me, I wish that all were as dedicated to UO as she is. My excuse for nailing you is that I think of Petra as a friend, friends stand up for one another. Hence the "sock" comment. When you become my friend I would defend you just as well.

Now a "put a sock in it" in a public forum is a bit much unless meant in a joking manner, which I assume it was. If that however was a sincere attempt to silence me, perhaps you should take a step back and consider whether that was the most effective approach. Also with this being a public forum, I ask if you could afford others the same courtesy you insist for your friends.

Yes dear is was said in jest. I am glad you are reading me correctly. Not many like/understand english/aussie humor, and many sayings used are quite handy.
