Totally in agreement on the 2 of 5 being decent questions (sorta, keep reading). The Bunnies, well, I agree with another poster who said eventually someone somewhere would ask that one (UO is filled with "gimme gimme" types).But that is a silly question for a FoF IMHO.
However, regarding the horde minion question... they OBVIOUSLY know that question could be found via normal guides available at both the Stratics and main UO sites, which in my opinion kinda makes it a waste of a question to answer in any other way then a response stating "please review such and such website for normal gameplay questions." Now if the "asker" of said question intended to ask about the enormous weight issue with them, fine. But this question/answer should have either been ignored since its easily found info OR at least ALSO addressed the issue of weights.
And I don't know why, but I'm STILL stuck on that bunny question!! FoF shouldn't be about deco items, freebies etc etc when there are wayyyyy to many REAL issues effecting gameplay such as duping issues, housing issues (sooo many OSI owned homes, dsafsasa ring a bell anyone?). I could go on and on about the REAL issues but like as if that would accomplish much lol.
This post is NOT directed towards ANYONE so if you don't agree, so be it! Everyone has a right to their own opinions... mine: FoF this week was a COP OUT!!

Yeah, to confirm Petra's point - people HAVE been asking that on Stratics, and frankly, I didn't know the answer, and I personally never saw someone reply to the couple threads I've seen on the subject WITH the answer.

You know, if you'd actually stop complaining about ALTER.NET'S faulty router, like it somehow belongs to EA, maybe you might get somewhere.
ALMOST EVERY trace you've posted in the last few months, shows the ALTER.NET router that is that network's gateway into EA, as the problem - and the few that don't only show lag problems with the EA servers immediately after it. PLUS, you only show a TRACE - one trip through the route. Traces are meaningless unless you do a poll of a few hundred iterations (since, as you are using uotrace, is easily done), as it shows EXACTLY, over time, where the issue is, because that's where the big numbers start.
A bad router two steps into a 15-step journey can cause any of the later steps to show a lag, even if it pinged normally, on a single trace, as all those later steps' pings go THROUGH the bad one. Hence, the need for doing polling for multiple checks of all steps.
Your constant complaints are like you demanding that a dealership fix your car's "faulty suspension" that keeps bouncing you out of your seat, when the reason you keep getting bounced around is that you live in a neighborhood with multiple speed bumps between the entrance and your house.
If you can show a way to Poll like we use to I'd be happy to poll 100 times or more. You can't any more. If there were other places giving a Bottle necking up, I'd post that, but unfortunately those are the only 2 places who pop up with Ping issues almost consistently every 45 sec to 75 sec?
If it was just me, ya, it's my faulty net. But friends in Canada, Ca, Tx, Il with a Total diff DSL provider & even on Cable, show same bottle neck spot for lag, so it isn't just in my driveway the speedbump. It's in alot of peoples path.
If you could kindly show or tell me how to Poll multiple times so I don't get like what's below & I will. At one time you could poll, for the last 2 yrs you have not been able to. Ty

Got a nice laugh off this one... thank you Basara I really needed a good laugh lol! And I agree... 80+% the time the actual lag issues are truly NOT always on UO's end of things.
As for Petra's question regarding delay timers writing macros? Agreed, there are no resources on that one that I could find, then again I use UOAssist for my macros, at least until SA takes full launch then I doubt Assist will be available anymore so to me this was a good question... one I will likely need an answer to eventually as will the rest of those who use UOAssist right now but must change with SA! So edit my last response... 2.5 of 5 decent questions this week (1/2 point for half the complete answer to the Horde Minion question). Doubt my mind will convert the other 2.5 FoF questions

I think I even told you before that it isn't very beneficial to the EA Team without a poll...
Dang, I just made a nice graphical walk-thru of the 'uo trace route' process I just successfully used, but I don't have access to my user/pass on photobucket until I get back to my 'password vault' on Monday.
Hope this will help:

3 Let it run for awhile before taking a screenshot
That UO Trace program has worked for me on all versions of Windows; although it has siezed-up my PC with Vista (which I'm on now / just used successfully), if I try to retrieve the server list & I also have to maximize it in Vista in order to view it in the first place (it will not open at all unless I right click & select Maximize from its tab on the Windows taskbar).
Perhaps we have different versions of the UO Trace program; but it does still poll for me (even if it has not been updated for WinVista).
(x: btw, I agree that it looks to be alter.net & -not- EA that is causing the problem. EA/UO addressed that, I believe, in an easy-to-miss FoF early December, when they said they isolated the issue to something beyond their control. Unfortunately both EA/UO corporations and end-users need to be yelling at alter.net types that are causing this situation, imho... gl)
If you haven't got it, save this list in your uotrace folder with the name SERVER.cfg
Then in my post here use 'code' with the appropriate brackets and closing ' /code' to paste my route here.
I don't think 'retrieve server list' has worked properly for some years, but paste that list into a notepad file and save it with that file name and it should be all good. No need to screen print, edit, copy, in uotrace followed by ctrl v in the post works fine. Using the 'code' tags makes it easier to read.

I did go out & look for the last cpl of hrs between work at my Answering Svc & found a little Trace Route program with a poll that actually worked. I polled the EA end IP address 159.153.209.30 ( napavalley.owo.com ) 100 times from my ofc I use. This is what I received back. Kind of interesting really, it shows the route going from myself in Vt (Burlington, Vt DSL Pool, How it's Reston,Va I'll never know but may places list us as Va for some reason.), to Boston, Mass across country to San Jose, Calif then back across country to Ashburn, Va. then back Across country again to Redwood City, Ca.
Back & forth across the country 2x's would make anyone lag..
All I have tried to do is show where I have "Lagged up" on IP's on my route to Napa Valley, others from Ca had the same. They asked for Trace Routes, I gave them what I had, (did many push the trace route on UOTrace to lock in Diff IP's that were showing problems since My Poll would black all out as non pollable as the picture a cpl of post back shows.) that is all. If some want to crucify me for posting/showing what I had for results, then so be it. But that is where my problems were occuring. I was hoping to help people, & help all having a lag issue. maybe something shown would help someone. Not Point fingers at 1 particular ISP or Corp. as the problem. I showed what I had & saw.
** Edit I did do a UOTraceRoute poll on my Old ISP that I used before. (Fired up my old computer I had been using til the other day & did this test) I have 3 Separate DSL Lines, 2 Diff providers all with different DSL Speeds. An the Old DSL (Different DSL Provider) one will allow a Poll, go Figure)
