If you close the game and try to reopen it on a character whos radar map is open you lose all your desktop settings.
Really quite annoying. I wonder how QA couldn't have caught this.

I just logged in fine on classic. Cluttered screen top intact. No radar. I opened rader, logged all the way out.

I logged back in and the clutter was still there but the radar was closed...

Yep, it looks like the 7.0.0.4 patch to fix the earlier patch did the trick - although I see there have been people still having other problems, like patch failures..... I've a suspicion they were unlucky and hit the servers while one patch was being removed and another set up.

yea the 7.0.0.4 patch fixed it now the radar map wont open on login but all desktop settings are ok.

Does one laugh at this statement or does one cry? Resolution has a varying meaning apparently.

Could someone at EA/Mythic please update this thread with whether the issue regarding the radar map has been fixed or not?

I rely on the UO radar map for navigating around UO and constantly having to reopen it all the time on my characters is getting extremely annoying. If there is a fix that is known to work properly please have it patched out to all clients when QA is able to verify it's fixed the problem properly.

Haven't had a problem with using the enhanced client.

Which quite clearly isn't the case here, since the in-game radar map has always worked until quite recently.

All they need to do is figure out what they did to the client to make it screw up it's radar window and lose it's settings file, and once that's fixed and QA passes the fix, then we can finally get a resolution.

What I asked for is a status update on whether they've made any progress on this bug!

I'm also getting annoyed that I constantly have to reopen and drag it around to it's desired position before I can go hunting stuff I normally hunt straight away.
