Ok, forgot about the ice blue being just a Test Center thing :) but...

Some Clydesdale findings (forgive me if I have missed these in this thread, or these boards, also, I don't really look at the UO.com forums too much so it may have already been posted there):
  • Each spawn point seems to produce at least two Clydesdales at a time
  • You need around 89.1 Animal Taming to have a chance to tame (perhaps depending on STR value of creature)
    • Based on UOCah data, I don't believe there are any tameables that require 89.1 specifically, but based on the Hell Hound (85.5; 69% chance at 120 animal taming) and Dragon (93.9; 52.2% chance at 120 animal taming), you could fail a few times even with 120 Animal Taming.
  • When carved they produce 3 ribs and 10 hides
  • Same sounds as a horse, and as such, UOA/UO Horse sound filters work on these as well
  • Same footstep sounds as a horse
  • Features what looks to be a docked tail, probably because of grid-based limitations but perhaps to convey the traditional, commercialized Budweiser horse?
  • Base Clydesdale can be transferred to a character with 0 animal taming skill as far as I can tell
I farmed for short while and killed 58 Clydesdales and got the following data:

HUE
NUMBER SPAWNEDPERCENTAGE OF SPAWNED
0
51
87.93%
2761
5
8.62%
2500
1
1.72%
2763
1
1.72%

2761 and 2763 are brown variants. 2500 is a black/gray variant. Nothing too special there but the darker brown and the black/gray don't look too bad for natural hues.
All reported previously in this thread by Lady Sylph and others :).

One thing I would say is the detail on the hooves is really nice. The attack and death animations are smooth. I do kind of wish they had unique sounds, but then there are plenty of horse variants that do not, I suppose. Like perhaps a nightmare could have a more demonic sound, but maybe after 20+ years of sounding like a horse...you just give up on that idea :).

@G.v.P The new pets have great animations. They have made special fighting graphics on pets for a while. Lions, Tigers, Dragonwolf. Now the NL pets, Ursines and Clydesdale.

Pet whistles are fun.

I've never gotten a glacial air freshner. I go to TC a lot, the first thing I say is Give Air.

@Pawain I know you do a lot of training, do you think Clydesdales would be better than a Nightmare at 5 slot? I just started training up a 2-slot Mare using your guides/notes from that one thread :)

Clydesdale is a very beefy pet. It does 100% physical damage. That is its drawback. It has no abilities so it can have many builds.

It is basically a Lesser Hiryu without Grasping Claw and Dismount. They build about the same. A hiryu would do more damage because of grasping claw. You don't see many using Hiryus. They are great for Dreadhorn.

Depends on what Mare you are making. A magery one or a Prepatch AI/Chiv. The AI/Chiv mare will have much less HP and Mana than the Clydesdale. But the mare has split damage.

Clydesdale will be Be a pretty easy pet to keep alive.

Archers and other distance templates should ride them for the Cheat Death.
