11/11/2024 Greetings, With each shard’s regularly scheduled maintenance beginning November 12, 2024 we will be deploying several hotfixes to Publish 118.1. Please be sure to check the publish notes here. Also, over the next several months we will be migrating all shards to newer hardware with our cloud service provider. The process will continue tomorrow, November 12, 2024, with Origin. We expect downtime to last at least 3 hours and will update this post once the migration is complete. I was wondering why like 4-5 Blazes came up on the market the last week or so, lol.

I have never seen a calculation/formula for how well the chromatic totems do. Does anyone know? If i remember correctly Blaze cus are a ~1 in 23,300 chance normally.

This is not active yet, those blaze were not made by the totem.

It was a facetious comment. I have been hearing rumors about it for like a week+ now, and saw 3 separate cus being sold on atl over the weekend - before their value drops when the changes go into effect.

I would like to know how much the totem increases the spawn rates of rare colors though.

My mapper has gotten a drop every MoE on Atlantic that he's contributed to.

He doesn't get looting rights, and the bag still shows up.


In addition, the loot appears to be somewhat funky. The first 2 bags I got, I got 2 bows in each bag. 2 bags, 4 bows.

But the patch is GREAT for Atlantic.


The boss still dies in a blink of an eye though.

I haven't received more than 1 item in a bag, but then again I haven't gotten a bow yet. I do agree the boss still dies super quick but I'm glad my TMapper can at least get something for helping spawn the boss now

Update to this after playing a bit yesterday.

Great work @Kyronix and team for the update for Tmapper. I've played a little in the AM (today) and a little during prime time (8-9pm) last night on ATL and I'm having a good time helping spawn the boss while digging up chests knowing I don't need to switch toons and hope I get looting rights; it makes this part of the event much more enjoyable.

Has anyone been having any luck on taming colored mares in the new spots?

I'd be curious to know exactly how the totems work or stats of bumping colors because I've been having a really rough time (in the old spots). I know Kyronix said they didn't turn down the spawn rate earlier on colored mares but I really do think the totems are either broken or just have a super small effect radius (again not sure exactly how they work) compared to what people were getting the first few days of the event. I've been using several totems (pre-hot fix) and there has been 2 spurts of dropping 4 or 5 totems where not a single color above grey has spawned and out of that 60-90 minute non-stop period there was only once or twice where a regular mare spawned and then teleported over to the totem as a different color (ie grey). During these dry spells, I'm going through hundreds (300+ ) of mares without spawning a single red/green/demonic/EO color while using a totem...meanwhile I've killed a couple hundred without a totem and and seemingly get a very similar amount a voids/greys. I'm sure RNG plays a part but if my chance at spawning a red or better without a totem is 5% and my chance WITH the totem is only 7% then I'll just save the money because it's not worth it.

Anyone else remember the "of fey wrath" event on Origin where the drops rained like candy before being adjusted? Did the Dev team ever admit they changed the drop rate or did they just do it?


Quick edit to finish my thought: If we could get some explanation on how the totems work versus the chances of different colors spawning there would be some data to back it up. Currently with so many unknowns most of what is being said is just conjecture.

With the results I'm getting I can confirm the same findings.

Initial patch to origin I was getting either a red, green or purple mare with every 20 minute charge from a totem.... averaging 3 rare mares per totem.

I'm currently on a 10 totem dry spell without a single of the reds, green or purple mare to show for it.
If they say they didn't adjust the drop rate, then they're lying. They most certainly did!
