UO Boxing Matches

Rules:
Any skills allowed on char however only unarmed non-magical combat allowed.
No cure/healing bandages/potions of any sort.
No spirit speak.
No armor, except for jewels and a tribal mask.

To keep matches from lasting to long, both opponents will be required to drink a greater poison potion. If matches extend past 60 seconds. A fire field will be cast and both fighters have to fight in it. If both are still standing, the one with the more health left over wins.

there will be tournament ladders:
1v1 (weekly)
2v2 (weekly)
royal rumble!!!!!! (monthly)

Oh and there will be bl00d...

Prizes will be awarded as gold given or real life cash.
I read UO's TOS and it is not spoken about nor implied illegal.

Discuss and answer poll. If it seems favorable, I will make the guild for members. And i will have a forum set up.


Why in the world would someone pay real life cash, because I can.

Alright... you opened it up asking for whether people would be interested. I answered honestly. Just because my opinion is different from yours, please don't get treat me as if I'm an idiot.

Not sure why you chose to single me out... however, here are my reasons since you asked...

I couldn't fathom being in a guild strictly to participate in a tournament. If you want folks to participate, perhaps it be better if you held it as an event at a house in Fel with participants flagging on one another prior to a fight.

Personally, I've never been much interested in tournaments due to the amount of rules. I just don't see much skill involved with "boxing" each other, nor would I see it as very fun. Basically it'll be a contest of hit points vs wrestling skill/stats. I don't see it as a viable tournament based on that premise. You might find folks interested in participating on occasion, but on the whole I'd wager many won't be interested in repeating the experience. You might get some in the rp community who might participate because it might be IC for them to.

Oh, and for the record. I enjoy PvP immensely and yes, I do go to Felucca.

I see it lasting one event then not coming arond anymore... Events like this have come and gone unfortuantly. Not saying its a bad idea, but not that invigorating either.

Yeah,,this would be better as a one time only special event or annualy.People just aren`t motivated to join a guild and dedicate one toon for this [i`m sure SOME are,,but probably not in the numbers you seek]

This is a good idea, BloodPuke, for an occasional event. The only trouble I see is this: it is surprisingly hard for two players without any wrestling skill to kill each other using wrestling. HP regen seems to keep up with the damage pretty well. :/

Sorry Assath, I didnt mean to single you out, I couldnt remember the other name when i started typing. And I do apologize, i did not try to embarrass or attempt to make you look the fool. I haven't played UO in a long time and alot of people complain how they miss how it used to be. So maybe I was thinking, based on the responses that maybe it be any skills except no armor just jewels. I dont like long fights and I like it to be sort of fair.

Yeah, maybe like naked except for your melee weapon...and no specials...I dunno, I'm not very creative re: events.

Meantime, I'll vouch for BloodPuke being a nice guy. He wouldn't try to make you look dumb, Assia. Sometimes it's hard to communicate intention via text.
