unfair big majik flippers giveaway

why did the EM close the gate to the big majik flippers so quickly?
on the other shards the EMs left the statues up for about five hours giving everyone plenty of time to collect them
why was it done differently on this shard?
if these majik flippers were meant to be one pair per person participating in the event then how come it wasnt like that on the other shards?
some people managed to run in and get three pairs of slippers while everyone else only got one pair which is messed up
why cant they program it so the statues only give you one item per account?
i just thought this was kinda dumb they did it differently
either let everyone get as much as they want or make it one pair per account on every shard
dont do it differently
its the same event and the same item give away so why do it differently?
makes no sense
but i guess nothing makes sense in UO anymore
stop firing the good developers
and stop hiring regular players(EMs) to do your job for you

The gate was left open until the corpses decayed in the shipyard. There was plenty of time.

someone is angry that they couldn't get all there toons an item. Maybe if you where at the event you would have got a pair. I personally think all the vending items should be done like this. If you attend you get an item, if not oh well, should not be able to take 28 toons into area, makes the item people earned kinda pointless. Why give out the item at the event, just toss hundreds of em all over the banks then.

That type of thinking is what gets us no score keeping in little league baseball, or the "everybody gets an award on awards day" in elementary school. No everyone should not be a winner just because they participate, life and games should have losers. It's what makes people strive to do better and acheive what initially they are unable to attain. If everyone got an event item etc from going to an event they would be worth the same value as death robes. No thanks!!

i dont think everyone should get an item every time, thats part of the fun. its exciting to see what you will find on corpses, but when they do have vending items it should be like it was at the cove militia shirt and flippers give away. a remote location that you cant gate or recall into.

Personally i think all the events should have some type of vending gift at the end for ALL who attend doesn't have to be SUPER rare or anything more like a momento and the dispenser should be up for at LEAST 20-30mins after the event ends. The Atlantic Slipper dispenser was a little too short IMO (at about 5mins).

Having special event type items on the corpses is cool to as long as thats not the ONLY rewards. Also maybe neat event items like the magical rubble from the slipper event which can be used in the event would be cool if they could have been kept or thrown and didn't have a timer things like that.

Pretty much ALL of the time the events are too lagged up or too many people or to many corpses to really check through all the bodies like we would like and the final event boss' body is usually covered in dragons like ants on a dorrito which makes it almost impossible even with Cntrl-Shift to loot before it goes public which is REALLY annoying and makes it hard to really claim your prize if indeed your loot table had one which leaves the "good" rewards up to the scripters who we know damn well are using scripts to loot these bosses soon as it goes public and using dragons to keep the regular joes from having a chance to claim what very well may have been "their" rare.

umm this type of thinking? i didnt think about it at all.. just every time theres an even people make a post crying about not getting items, and others getting multiples then selling them in luna for ******** cash. so without any thought to it, put up my post.besides you of all people dont want to know what i think about these events/items.
