Undead Slayers? "Normal" Armour Sets?

Heya folks,

Two questions; Are Undead Slayers spawning again? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a Undead Slayer Tambourine on a vendor for 20k, and whipped it straight up. But then when I recalled to Luna Bank, there is an Undead Slaying Harp on the floor

Well, a combination of sad and happy, thought I had something special XD But then again, it saves me worrying about spending money on the damn Iolo Lutes!

Second Question: I can't seem to find normal armour ANYWHERE, used to be able to buy it off Player Vendors years back, but I can't find the stuff anywhere. I guess normal armour isn't a great description, I mean...

Full Ringmail/Platemail set which is Valourite perhaps, and Exceptionally made - Nothing super fandango!

All I can find is LRC Suits, and seperate armour pieces that cost like at least 500k each. The old suits I'm talking about cost like 30-60k for a set or something, it's like I need to make a request for a custom job now!

Oh! Sorry, christ, Europa ^^;; I don't post on here that often, I guess I think Europa is the centre of the World (I'll try to change my ways, I know it's not good!)

Edit: Btw, I haven't seen an Undead Slayer Instrument (Obvious exception to the Iolo Lute) since 3rd June 2006, when I lost my last one in the Citadel to dying, and even at THAT time I believed they were dissapearing and becoming very scarce.

I've got one Undead Slayer Instrument in my music chest, right next to Iolo's Lute. I can't really tell you how long it has been there, but certainly not two years.

For GM armour, try Ulysses shop, on the mainland a little south of Skara, near the coast, and also maybe Barian's Mall in Yewdale.
PS, I remember those Moonglow banksitters. They were fun, and a little crazy.

I don't make "normal" sets of armor anymore because they just don't sell It saddens me that just plain old GM made armor is not the "fad" anymore. It has to be runic made and Godly or it's considered junk and only worth 1k or so (that is IF the person buying it likes your name)

I went out shopping for a Spider Slayer bow, could not find a single one in all of Luna (Sonoma).

As for Undead Slayers no longer spawning, on the bow end at least, you can always make a Mischief Maker.

I still get undead slayer weapons... I got one this week. They DO still spawn.

I remember when armor sets were things like Light Ranger, heavy Ranger, etc depending on what it was assembled from (ring, chain, plate, etc). Those were also the days when a silver katana was all the shiznit on the shard.

I cant tell you if undead insruments spawn right now or not. But, I have a few and sell them for 1k when I notice i have a bunch. I look at every item and keep those and a few other slayer instruments.

Ulysses' shop, I know that name, and am sure I have shopped there myself a few times! It's a rune I'll have to add to my Player Shop Rune book, if it already isn't in there; I went through it backwards and I guess after the fourth shop failing me, I lost heart thinking I'd find anything anywhere rolleyes:

I see, Undead Weapons are spawning still, I'm sure I've come across a couple myself also. But I have pretty much checked every Instrument drop on every monster I've fallen since I lost my other one in June '06, and NEVER have I seen an Undead slayer (Demon's and Dragon's are not an issue). Now suddenly two dropped in my lap from a Vendor and one on the Bank Floor.... THE FLOOR! I guess I'm not arguing, it's just baffling!

So by the sounds of it, you certainly come across them in the past couple of years! I kill all sorts of monsters, weak and strong, I'm totally PvM (For better or for worse), and I have never had the fortune, I really can't stress how Zero it's been for me. It's Ice Cold Zero. Guess I'm just terribly unlucky! Or the Europa shard has known all along about the Demon/Dragon stash in my house that it never sought to offer me an Undead, hehe.

Oh, and for 1k each? Please, enlighten me as to your shops location!

Undead slayer instruments started spawning again around 2005, and I have found one about every 6 months since. I know the general time period, because my GM at the time told me they no longer spawned, when I asked about it - just after I looted one! I had it locked down as a rare for about a year, until I started getting more of them.

My guess is that they spawn like the other super-slayers, but few people ever stop to look at the instruments in the corpses.

BTW, the 3x damage for non-super slayers, also applies to spellbooks. I went out with my water ele slayer scrappers to have fun.

Two water eles took 315 EACH(!) from a chain lightning (with my only SDI being scrappers; maybe inscription as well - I swap out scribe and fishing). A group of 3 took over 200 damage each. Should be fun at leviathans, to thin the herd.
