Undead champ in the cave in SA

Has anyone else done this? I tried to start it but just keep killing bats and gore fiends, seems like ive been doing it over an hour and the altar candles keep looping. How longs it take and is there no other spawn except the bats and fiends?

I liked the boss....nice graphics and the effects were kind of fun. Of course, a guildmate had him discorded, but it was still fun. Did anyone figure out what's up with the prisoner and the chopping block yet? And do the restless bones do anything else besides give stat bumps and do they only appear at a certain level?
