They released publish after publish without any client updates/bug fixes which was a dog whistle for those who submitted bug reports to stop doing so and look elsewhere for a resolution.
They also made an announcement that they were ending their support for EJ accounts using third party clients which meant they were actively supporting paid accounts to do so.
And people like yourself would pretend there was no way for them to detect what client people were using. Which is obviously and now demonstrably not true and never was true.
Bearing in mind, the people who submitted bug reports for the official clients, were both voluntarily taking time out of their busy schedules to raise the reports and were also paying customers. And there are some listed bug reports that still after 6 years are still not fixed.
