[Tech Help] Unable to login in after patch...

Ahoy -

I downloaded the current patch , but now when I enter my username and password I click "OK" and nothing happens. No errors, no pop ups and I have made no changes to my hardware and software. In fact I have not been using the EC for a few weeks due to some issues that appear to have been resolved according to the patch notes.

Any suggestions on how fix my issue?

When you mouse over the Login button, does it look get brighter?
If you press enter in the Password box instead of trying to click the Login button, does it work?

Both good questions. It seems that when I first load the client I am able to enter a username and password and the "login" button does highlight and allow me to click it. But from that point on it does nothing. To your second question I have tried placing the cursor in both boxes and hitting enter, but nothing happens. I get no message and I am able to close the client with out issue it just never moves past the login screen.

I hope someone can help me... I'm giving more details:

First of all I'm a Trial user and I never got the Game working (for two days now). I'm using Windows 7. When I start the updater it gives me the following log file:

apperently I got some German version... I don't have a problem with that... I'm German. I read somewhere in the Warhammer updater troubleshooting that I should look into my patcher.cfg. I did that:

Can't figure out what's wrong with it...


When I start the patcher it doesn't give me much info after some seconds it let's me start the game. As stated in the log the Patcher doesn't have the Ank in the splash screen. Only shows a white page.
then I get a very strange login screen... most of the buttons on the top show grey X's instead of text... Where I think there should be the "password" text is only XXX.

Could someone help me out?

Update:
Seems to be some kind of localisation problem for me...
In the patcher/splash folder I added a folder called "german" and added all the content from the english folder. Now my updater shows the correct splash screen with patch notes and everything (I've done the same in the "notes" folder). But now I still get the error message:

So my question is now: Why the H*** is the game thinking I want a German client? I was never asked... I downloaded it from an english website (http://www.uoherald.com/trial/)... very weird... does anyone know? Can I download a Client that's definately english?!?

I am using a long time paid account and have been using both clients for some time now. I am running Win 7 and my patcher log is clean. see below:

Okay - my issue had to do with an Nividia add-on. I received an ICQ page from someone (sorry lost page and nothing in the log) that suggested this and sure enough. If you are having similar issues and have Nvidia drivers installed look for something like a "network manager" from Nividia.
