On one of my characters I am unable to lockdown or release items, whether in my home or homes I am co-owned to. However, other characters on the account are fine, and none of my other accounts seem to be having this problem. Kind of a bummer since my main character is having this problem..anyone else?

I had the same problem 6 months ago on my character Hemlock. He's the owner of my castle yet I couldn't lockdown or release items with him. All the other chars on that account were able to lockdown/release items.
First off don't bother with the GMs because all you will get is the "Canned message De jour".
Here's how I fixed it myself.
Kill your char. You can do this by having a friend kill ya, having a pet kill ya or casting spells on yourself till your char croaks.
Then have you char rezzed by an npc healer. It won't work if a friend rezzed you. I found this out when my sister rezzed my char.
It reset my char and I haven't had anymore trouble.
I hope this helps. Let me know if it worked for ya, cause I'd hate to think mine was a fluke.

This also happened to one of my chars about six months ago. He was the house owner, but could not issue commands. It was very frustrating, but a GM did solve the problem.
I realize that some may advise against paging a GM, but sometimes you will get one who knows what he or she is doing and can be very helpful. It is worth a try.

I laughed so hard I knocked my keyboard off...I have this problem with a character, and he is my thief, who dies and gets rezzed so often, I have thought of just dressing him in a deathrobe and being done with it. I guess I will try the honoring thing, then call a GM

One advice to people who call a GM, be polite, a GM may be less willing to try helping a rude and negative player
In all my 13-14 years of playing, I had only one not so helpful GM, the rest had been helpful and polite.
Also be sure to make your text, when you call a GM, be sure to tell short and clear what your problem is, give him the info he need to try to help you.

This is something that happens on occasion with chars that have Bushido. I forget exactly what they said do to fix it. I believe it's go honor something and either come back without killing it... or kill it then go back immediately. Try both of them if the char you are talking about has Bushido.
Maybe I am wrong on the fix and one of these other folks can point you in the right fix. Either way EA needs to fix and probably put a sticky up top to let folks know.

I've had this happen a few times in the past although not recently. When it happened, I used the char with the problem and went into customize mode and changed the house foundation and saved it. Not sure why that worked and can be a pain in the rear for some stuff that just pops to the moving crate or outside regardless of how little you customize. But, if all else fails, you might try that.

try honoring something that is easy to kill, then do so. go back to the house and lock/release should work.
