Trouble Doing Library Donations

Just as title says, I can't donate. I have the friend of the library token, I've even equiped it. When I double-click an npc it says I must talk to verity. I can try to drag and drop items on npc, but that does nothing. Verity offers me the quest, but I already have the token. Help?

You must complete the quest in order to donate. Unfortunately the token is irrelevant - ie once you do the quest it doesn't matter whether you have the token or not.

OK, thx. I'm not sure how I got the token. I was away for almost a year, when I came back a few months ago it was in my bankbox. I don't remember doing the quest, but assumed I had. Oh well, off to do the quest. Thanks again.
