Fay, Fay, Fay....
This may sound selfious, but seriously Fay.. It looks like I might be going to the beach to watch it rain next weekend. It might be kinda cool to see some high surf, but..:talktothehand: Let's hope it stays farther inland.

But yeah, anyone who may be affected by the storm stay safe!

Ugh! I hate hurricane season. I just usually get the rain out of these but last year lost electric for a couple of days from the winds. Not fun. I feel for anyone that gets the brunt of it. I go to Disney in 5 weeks and dread this season. Stay safe!

Looks like we may get a little of the storm right here in Charleston, we tend to loose power when it gets windy and wet.... I see more problem with the TT withdrawls from Joe then I see with the storm itself. And of course school starts Tuesday, hope this does not effect that.

This may be a silly question, but how do the forecasters know it's going to turn - and that it will turn so sharply to the NE?? And, I don't think SC should have a problem, it'll be pretty weak by then.

It's the front that depicts where the storm heads. They showed it tonight on the weather channel and the front basically leads up the eastern seaboard. The latest maps have it slowing down it looks like and more farther inland, so I hope it stays till not arriving to the Northeast till Sunday.

Hurricanes always seem to go through florida but we never get anything bad just a lot of rain, "Sunshine State" I think not.

My friend who got married on Saturday was supposed to go on his honeymoon in the FL keys, don't think he got down there.

Now that's gotta stink! That's REALLY bad luck, or timing in general.
I think I might be clear for the weekend. The weatherman mentioned that the northeast has this high that will be stopping the rain from heading right up the coast like they usually do. I hope he's right..

Well im out of school wed. and thur.. Our mayor decided it was good, it doesnt make much sense to me seeing how it doesnt hit j-ville until thursday. That means we get one day taken off of thanksgiving break and one off of winter break. I would rather just go to school seeing how today was only my second day.

We got several tornadoes and some major flooding. most of St. Lucie county has been evacuated because of the standing water, some areas 3 feet and some higher. I'm in Palm Beach County and we got lots of rain and strong winds. The main road that leads into the city, (I live in a rural area), was closed and made traffic an absolute nightmare. It was like the area was at a standstill. Everything was closed including the schools. The only damage we suffered was I forgot to take my birdfeeder in and it got bumped around. Oh, and my dogs refused to go outside, so they did their business in the house. Can't really blame them, it just stunk up the place. Lemme say, I am so thankful for OUST!!! oh and swiffer mops.
