Hello,

Can anyone answer whether or not the Treasures of Tokuno is back? The town criers I have asked "news" say it is. However, I can find nothing here or on UO Guide announcing it. I've also killed 100 rune beetles and mages and no drops. hmmm...

Sure tot is on but you need to kill the monsters only with melee and no healing else it does not drop!

this is by far the most embarrasing failure of the devs - I can't even count the newbies anymore I meet in haven that are completely taken aback when I tell them the town criers haven't been updated since 2008.

That's not true... lets see

You can train honor at the dojo
You can get a free ninjitsu or bushido book by killing appropriate critters
You can train pets in the mines
You can tame rune beetles
You can work up valor or get pinkies without those big bad PVPers hurting you and making you lose 5000 gold in insurance
You can tame Bake Kitsune as a newb tamer
You can train 100+ tactics on the 3 headed wolves

hm that's about it. surely that's enough for an entire facet to exist

so yeah.. tokuno = rune beetles?

The only other tokuno only thing that comes to mind is the fire bunny and his pheromones needed for the hitching post replica.

I go to that one room in the dojo with the succubus and the ronin, lure the ronin out, and pummel succubi. It's a great way to farm fame/karma/honor and the gold is all right too.
