Transferring pets between characters.

I have a stable full of pets on a character without taming. I want to transfer these pets to another character with taming, but I know when I claim them from the stable they will go wild. Presumably they will then get guard whacked as they will attack me.

Is there a stable where there is no guard zone so I can claim the pets, let them go wild then log in another character to re-tame them? Is there any other way to transfer the pets, without getting taming on the character again?

This is not on Siege.

Thanks.

You should have no problem transferring them FROM that character TO another, even without taming. Simply make sure you do not command them nor try to stable them after retrieving them from the stable. If you only have one account and are trying to give them to another character on the same account, you will probably need to transfer them to a trusted individual and let them transfer them to your tamer.

He is correct, issue no commands to the pets if you haven't got the taming/lore as they will go wild.

The question is, if you don't have the proper lore/taming can you use the pet transfer command to a trusted friend? That I don't know, never tried it.

It might be prudent to soulstone on lore and taming to this toon just to be sure if the pets are that valuable.

Or maybe you should lore them and see if they are even worth the trouble. You should be able to unstable, lore, and then stable them again without giving any commands...

Thanks for your responses. Both characters are on the same account so I may try the trusted friend option. First though I will experiment with one of the less important pets and try the release re-tame option, if I can find a stable out of the guard zone.

If this is on Europa I will help transfer them if you wish. I have a legendary tamer there.

I'll be happy to on GL if you need a tamer there. Depending on pet, I "might" be able to on Atlantic, but my tamer there is only 85ish or so.

If you have a house and the materials to make a hitching post, that would essentially give you a stable outside any guard zone. Just a thought.

You could always claim pet, recall to house, log out and back in (this will bring nonbonded pets to you) then release pet.

If you are Baja I have a legend Tamer/Lore

This is definitely much simpler than my suggestion! :)

If this is on Chesapeake or Lake Austin I would be happy to help you out, I have tamers on both shards.
