Transfer Bugs

Hello,
Has anyone lost items, pets while shard transfering. The other day I lost a gorget when I transfered. Today I lost a pack llama with 124mil in checks. I checked my home shard (napa valley) and the shard I transfer to (Atlantic). I paged a gm, but we all know they are useless. Just wondering how many other people are losing items.

A week or two ago, i was transfering from atlantic to catskills. Something bugged out and my packys full of checks didn't go. They were just sitting in luna losing loyalty. Luckily i had chars freinded to the packys, from when i loaded them up. It only ended up costing me 20 mil (2nd transfer) instead of 200 mil.

So i suggest always friending chars on another account, to pack animals before you transfer in case something goes wrong.

I dont know what happened to mine, but they did transfer. But when I took them out of the transfer box I think only one came out. I had already taken all the other items out, then took the packy's out and recalled away. I went back and checked to see if it didnt recall with me, it was bonded. But nothing, then I checked my followers and one was missing, but I did check the box before I removed them. Oh well. 124mil lost to me, I just hope it is out there somewhere dropping my gold so someone will be happy.

Iv herd of this happening quite alot lately, one thing to note: before you transfer make sure the last thing you do is say "all follow me" a few times, to ensure the pets are with you.

AND thats why i said we need a check book for uo thats why im scared to xfer all my vendors money to my home server i dont want to lose it all to a game bug.

A question.

How important is to use only pack animals which are bonded for the transfer ?

Does it matter at all that they are all bonded or not as in regards to have a painless transfer ?

I know one time when I was xffering I had a beetle with items in it. The box said there was 2 items in there even though I couldnt see it so I left it open and paged a GM. They came and fixed the problem and there was my beetle and his stuff he was carryin and a bag of stuff I had brought over.

I've used these same animals for many transfers, I used them before they bonded and after. I never had any problems untill now.

I also fed them and told them to all follow me before I xfered. They were both in the crate when I got to Atl, I removed them both from the crate. Told them to follow me again. Recalled away, and only one came with me. I checked my followers, and sure enough, I was missing one follower. I went back to Jhelom (which is where I xfered to). Looked all over just in case it went wild for some reason, the llama was not there. I even went to my home shard and looked just in case, again nothing.

I just hope that they dropped the checks and someone picked them up, at least someone got to enjoy them. To me 124mil is a minor lose, but it sucks that the GM's just blow you off.

I know these items will never be replaced by employees of the game, I say this because I have seen similar threads (I dunno if I remember any here, but I do recall quite a few on the old MyUO forums) and I was never sure if it was just someones poor attempt to profit from nothing or real honesty.

Anyways, after one of the recent rares festivals, I was in the process of transfering the items I had bought back to Atlantic. Once there I first noticed my packy missing and than to my utter dismay I realized that about 1/5 of the items I brought back had gone the way of the dodo. I figured the value of the items were at the low end worth 250 to 300mill and much more if you went by a more reasonable average price. I've only done one transfer since and that was from the last festival, while I did have a fairly large haul, I held back buying all the items I wanted, including auction items due to my previous experience. Really, it's just become a sour area for me and I'm really disappointed it happened because now I don't trust the system in place and for the most part will refuse to do cross shard sales.

Oh and in case anyone is curious. That last transfer I spoke of went off without any problems. My stomach was turning the whole time I had to wait to take inventory of my stock though. It was not a pleasant experience.
