A friend of mine wants to train up his Stealing skill, and I volunteered to help him out. Our plan to raise his stealing skill is to each place several items (of appropriate weight) in our backpacks and steal them from each other. We are hoping to avoid the need to reload a pack animal, using this method (I will be able to reload my backpack with items easily, since my skill is trained). I read through the FAQs, but I still have some questions:
1. Regarding the Thief’s Guild, I know that you need to be a member to steal from other players, but can you steal from other players (if you are not a member) if you are in:
a. The same guild?
b. Warring Guilds?
If not, then he will have to use a pack animal until 60.0 real skill.
2. Since we plan on stealing from each other, would it be best to:
a. Fill our backpacks with only items (of appropriate weight) and target each other and “Steal”?
b. Have each other’s packs snooped and target the items and “Steal”?
3. If you are in a guild, can you steal from a pack animal while in Trammel (since it highlights green when told to guard)? This would make training to 60.0 logistically friendly, if he needs to use a pack animal.
Thanks for your help.
