Do any NPCs train imbuing?

I'm thinking that gains might be faster if I train first and switch to Gargoyle once imbuing is complete, on the basis that the gargoyle's imbuing bonus might make training harder. Is this logic correct?

Sounds about right. One would think a gargoyle would advance quicker as an inherent aptitude, but the scenario you suggest is logical.

The Artifacers in Ter Mur train Imbuing up to 40.

If you have a free char slot you can make a new char with 50 imbuing then soulstone it and transfer it to whoever.

This. I deleted a character two weeks ago just for this very purpose.
