Trading blue crystals for red ones!

I dont think that is possible, I tried giving one red one to my alt char to turn in for a mask, as the first one only costs 1 red instead of five, and it said, "This essence doesn't belong to you".
There is a hidden ownership property on the red ones, and I dont know if the ownership changes if traded with trade window, but you can't just drop on floor and pick up with another char, and possibly looted red ones will not work.

Damn! I'm almost positive that a stole a few red crystals and then used them.

Nightstalker has your alternate character done the quest right up to giving the hag the murky potion? I believe thats whats stopping you.

No, I havent done the quest wit him. But i will do it up to that point... as he cannot go any further, he is a crafter, not a fighter.
Still have some to trade
