Town Clothes - by Aliette Faye

Oh! I love the option of being able to wear clothing vs. armor all the time so this is great news! Unfortunately ArenaNet has yet to make the asura or silvari playable so we don't get to see any clothing options for them. We just have to content ourselves with the human, norn and charr versions for now.

As usual, you can find the original article here.

Get Comfortable: Town Clothes
By: Aliette Faye | Mar 27, 2012 | GW2 News,Video
As you may or may not know, you do not always have to wear armor in Guild Wars 2. There is an alternate set of “casual” clothes, if you will, known as Town Clothes. All it takes is a simple click of an icon, and you’ll be switched from your battle-hardened protection, to some much more elegant and charming duds.
To clarify, Town Clothes are not the same as a Costume. Town Clothes are only available to players outside of battle, and they will be forcibly switched if they happen to find their way into an encounter. Whereas Costumes go over your armor sets, Town Clothes do not. Town Clothes appear to be in the game for the sole purpose of allowing a player to equip much more sensible attire when in towns.
Check out the default town clothes for each race below!

Thank you Guild Wars Insider and Aliette Faye for making this video!!
