Tournament 2 on 2 Team Free for All - Sunday, Jan 11 at 7PM EST

On Sunday January 11, 2009 at 7PM Eastern Standard there will be a 2 on 2 team tournament. The entry fee is 200,000 gold per team. There is a limit of 32 teams in this tournament. To register, post a reply to this topic including both character names and any guild affiliation(s). If there are any spots left or some teams are no show, registration may happen shortly prior to the tournament.

Gates for participants/spectators will be provided in Lord British's Throne Room Trammel and at the Trinsic Felucca Moongate for murderers.

Spectator Rules
You are not allowed to carry any weapons/armor/reagents if you are just going to watch. You will be turned away at the entrance if you are found carrying prohibited items. Be sure to bank all weapons/armor and other fighting equipment before taking a gate to the tournament area. Security will be provided by the HOT guild. Only tournament participants and HOT guild members are permitted to be equipped. In the event of a disruption please remain calm and the HOT guild will attempt to deal with it quickly. A full list of prohibited items:

• Any weapons
• Any armor
• Any magic scrolls
• Necromancy/Bushido/Ninjitsu books
• Pet Summoning Balls
• Any reagents
• Do not wear any robes (including hooded)

To make things easy, just bring some nice clothing to wear along with a runebook filled with recall scrolls to leave. Gates will be provided at the beginning and end of the event. We will be checking for contraband items with snooping.

Tournament Rules

• No Mounts
• No Pets/Summons
• No Precasting
• No Orange Petals
• No Faction Bandages
• No substitution of team members

Each team need wear the same color robe. Try and pick a unique color.

All rounds prior to the semi-finals will be single elimination. Semi-final and finals will be best two out of three. In the event that some faction participants are in stat loss, we will attempt to work around it by scheduling other matches. However, if this is not possible you will either have to fight or forfeit.

Voice Chat
The HOT Guild may be opening our Ventrilo server to the public during the event. More details on this later if it happens.

Note to Potential Greifers
Any player who disrupts the tournament by attacking spectators, participants, not following directions of HOT Guild staff, etc will be removed and barred from watching/participating in future events. HOT staff members will be easily reconizable as they are wearing the brown hooded monk's robe. This event is public to all and as long as the rules are followed there will be no issues. In addition, further actions may be applied to the guild that person belongs to or if multiple people from the same guild cause disruptions.

Actually, it might be a good idea to have a limited number of sign ups. I am going to put the limit on 32 teams. Post a reply either here or in the announcement on the UO Atlantic forum to claim a spot. Make sure you already have your team mate selected and there is a very good chance you will both be online Sunday night.

7PM Sunday is the day/time when the most people have free for UO or can free it up the easiest. I will pick another day/time for the next one maybe.

I "think" I finally have figured out how to get this stuff on the events calendar correctly. If someone would please check and make sure it shows and that it has the correct date/time for you. If you have the time zone set correctly in you userCP, then it should automatically convert for you. Thanks for any feedback!

It shows on the calendar. But you have to manually switch to January and there is no indication of a new event on the main Atlantic forum. It is pretty useless in its current state.

I am not a news reporter, so I can not put it on the main Atlantic Forum, or the home page, but I am sure Andrasta will get it soon.

I am also not sure how to make it auto-display January, but will check into it.
