ToT Drops

Ok, don't flame me too hard, I just have no clue what I'm doing.

I've read / been told that killing anything except cranes in Tokuno gives a chance at a minor drop. Last night I spent about two hours killing ronins, elite ninjas Deathwatch beetles, gamons?, and some weird ninja turtle looking things.

Not a single drop.

So, I'm thinking one or more of the following:

RNG hates me
I'm killing the wrong things
I'm impatient
Other

Any suggestions? I JUST started yesterday doing this, as I just came back three days ago. I'd really like to get enough minors for a major turn in, and maybe a mempo? Hehe

How much and how fast you kill things will determine how quickly drops will come for you. The ToT system is based on points. The more points you have the higher your chances for a drop. High fame creatures give the most points, but low fame creatures will give you more checks against your points, so it's best to mix the 2, killing some high fame and a lot of low fame creatures.

Best way

Kill 10 rune beetles or 10-15 Bakes

You might event get a drop. If you get a drop start over till you reach the above numbers then change spawn.

The goal is to get a lot of fame by killing above. Once you reach those numbers go kill death watch beetles as fast as you can or low end easy kill monster.

I recommend going to the tok champ spawn and killing there.

If your have a mage earthquake. If you have a warrior hit area spells.

Do the Tok Champ spawn a few times. I usually average 2-3 drops in the 1st 3 levels. Then maybe one more by the time it's done. Is the fastest way I have seen.

Its all about quantity not quality, If your stopping to loot, you will kill less. take this scenario....

My warrior can kill a rune beetle in <10 seconds. If i stop to loot it, it could take up to 30 seconds to get gold look at the items etc. with 495 luck i can get one in about 15 min killing rune beetles at 10 seconds each so thats 90 beetles in 15 minutes. How long would it take to kill 90 if i looted? 45 min... so the perception is my drop rate sucks but its because im taking too long between kills to get an arty.

I would stay away from ronins unless you can kill them fast, they are an annoyance for my fighter because it can take up to a min to kill one.

Beetles, Daemons give you the most bang for your buck, The hell hound room in the dojo gives you the best quantity/quality

find something that spawns fast, that you can kill quickly, and are plenty of. (ie Hell Hound room in the dojo, Tok Champ Spawn, Beetlescape)

could just be RNG, I took some critters from tok to train on them in tram 2 days later I killed them and got a dye and a flute.

I have gone from 0 fame to GL and not gotten a drop and i have gotten 3 back to back drops.

So based on the fact you can get a drop in tram from a tok mob makes me wonder how it really is coded.

The only requirement is that that creature spawned in tok and it fame level does see to work more like luck in the old doom system than an incremental increase on your RNG roll,

However I seem to get an avg of one arti every 10-20 min, so 2 hours is a long stretch for a drop not to fall.

I like to do the Sleeping Dragon Champ Spawn.

I usually get from from 2 to 4 minors per spawn, and also sometimes some SoT's, too.

Kill the Lizardmen and Kappas (ninja turtle things, hehe) as fast as you can, and then build up fame again on the lesser hiryus/rev lions/onis and hiryus later in the spawn.

After the boss is dead, I like to go around killing all the left over monsters while waiting for the altar to reset. Sometimes I can get another drop here.

I looked up Bakes and copaired them to ronin, and it looks like both are level 4 fame. So if I kill 10-15 ronin (I'm comfortable with them now hehe) and then go kill a bunch of deathwatch beetle hatchlings...profit?

that will work

but really try and get to the tok champ spawn and just go from start to finish.

and you want area hit spell on a weapon.

HOLY LIGHT is your areas spell by the way. Use that on the lizard kappas and beetles at the champ spawn.

Just damage everything you can at the low levels of the champ spawn.

Easy Speed.....one hit kills. My archer can get a drop every 7.5 to 10 minutes killing crap in the wasteland. I just got 4 drops in 35 minutes killing hatchlings, birdies, rabbits, skeletons and other undead creatures out there.

No kidding. Just dive in. My heavy xbow is working just fine for me.

Good tip, I almost forgot all about the Wastelands!

Quite a useful desert for ToT.

And if you get bored, don't forget about the Champ Spawn, it really is useful too, and can help break the boredom of just doing one area the whole time.

I missed most of this event due to RL crap/not feeling well...but even with just a few days to participate, I've managed to get enough minors for a few trade-ins, and even quite a few pretty dyes. So don't get discouraged!

Edit: Another tip...unless you really need it, don't bother looting anything as it just takes time away from killing. I've looted gold only off some of the higher fame mobs, but only if it isn't slowing me down much.

I get more by one shooting deathwatch beetle hatchlings than chaining onis.
They have 60 HP. If you can hit for more, then it's just about double-clicking them all and running around.

I found a nice little area where orcs spawn in 2 - 3 every 20 secs or so. Can almost AFK here. *hopes for drops*

Not looting at all, just making a big mess of the desert.

find out the shadowlord manifestation spawn is, and hit it with archer, find it quick and grab its gump, u get looting rights you get arti guaranteed

UK time every 2 hours odd number tiem, ie next one is 21.56 mt sho, then a fe wmins later the waste, then lady of the snow area, if oyu are not in the uk, work out time diff, you have half an hours from NOW!!!!1 get it right you get 3 artis, tomorrow last day, so be quick and good luck
