Just curious but is the top 100 list delayed? i notice it seems like it takes 2 days for an update? Not complaining or anything just wasnt sure if theres something im missing here?

Top 100 List?

I noticed too that my house was on the same number as yesterday.
Didn't know if that was a fluke.
It usually updates daily or sometimes 2 times a day if they have another maint later in the day.

yea i had a full house for 3 straight hours yesterday (finally got everything ready to reopen lol) and realized im still in the same position with the same exact number of hours...im thinking it updates every 2 days but we'll see...really a "pita" for up and coming houses lol

just to update the post here it must change every 2 days or something and whats weird is it changes during the game lol cause it still hadnt updated a while after i posted this then suddenly when i checked it again later on that night it updated lol i was like ummm ok? weird cause im old school tso and im used to a maint...lol oh well i guess its just every 2 days expect a change in game without notice...odd

I've been following it for the past weeks and it has changed 1 or 2 times a day.
Yesterday it did not change at regular maintenance, but it changed sometime during the evening - it had changed when I came online this morning.

I know there were suspected problems with the algorithm after they merged AV and BF, and the list did not update as it was supposed to. Lee was going to look into it.
Now it seems to work, but maybe they still have to "bump it" manually sometimes since it doesn't always update with regular maintenance. Who knows.

My lot is still being built, so I had visitors for the first time yesterday (Monday night in California). When I looked today (Tuesday night in California), the top 100 list correctly included the time from yesterday.

An update. Today, the top 100 list updated sometime in the afternoon California time. When I first signed on around noon, it still had yesterday's numbers. When I looked again around 5 PM, it had been updated to include the time from yesterday.
So it seems to be updating daily, but the new list may not be seen until later in the day.

Thanks for the update - will look tonight and see if I show on the map filter - *sigh* maybe I will have gotten onto the top 100 by the skin of my teeth - been tough to get hours when no one knows you are there!
Please Devs do away with the top 100 - I implore you. I am sure there are many properties, like mine, that dont have 8 accounts to keep a house open to get on the list!

Not necessarily do away with but just reset/clear it so we can over. Considering that with the merge this is a brand new city.

True, but for me it should be showing which properties are online, and not because you have gained a certain amount of hours. There is no reward for having visitor hours anymore - just doesnt really make sense. Cause when I shop or look for skilling property I dont look at hours - sure the amount of people for skilling & Money (as I want to benefit from max % skilling/combined effort) but just who is open and who is not for stores etc.

yea I really hope they add the visitor bonus once they have the time after amnesty and all the big pressing issues that are being adressed atm because when i run my place now it takes quite a bit of money to stock all these fridges and pay the repairman and such since its too costly to repair anything yourself...im currently in the process of maxing emch on one guy so we'll see but yea i really didnt value the visitor bonus all these years until recently...ya really need it lol

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a toggle for different lists and map filters?
*One listing houses regardless of category by the number of people on the property, at any given moment. (parties, skill and money)
*One by Category, listing open houses, only. (shops and general visiting)
*One by overall hours, regardless if it is online or not. (Top rankings and actual competitive lists)

The list has always been updated every 2-3 days. The hours over a 3 day period are averaged together. It has never changed daily.

i assume your talking about here in EA Land? I didnt notice this change until I ran my own house so thats what i was curious about...as for the list updating when I ran several houses in Alphaville it always updated at 7 am in the morning during maintience

Thats what I've been thinking too Gilly. We could really benefit from multiple ways to access the list. I talked to Greg about this the other day too. If I find time I'll work up a quick wiki plan or you could if you have time.

The EAL list updates each day at around 4 or 5 PM PST. There was a 3-day period at the beginning of Mar when the EAL list did not change. That failure coincided with an EAL update. And of course, you have the calculation wrong.
The calculation is 75% of prior day VH plus 25% of prior day visitor time.
