Todays Patch Broke

Well It patched
I got the old start up window that takes you through the animation.

Then all my macros etc have been wiped clean.

And the windows size were all out of whack

I don't have that particular problem - just the ones with chicken coops, and transformed characters, and tile graphics errors in 2d where the snow is messed up....

Does anything actually go through QA nowadays before it's dumped on us? It certainly does not look like it.

It was perfect all morning
but for tremendous lag
and no holiday gift ticket

Both accounts like I wrote.

Ah well wish I could help more.

Oh and plus the dang buff debuff bar is show and a mouse icon I cant get rid off.

if i double click it turns to a tile with a sort of half C with an arrow.
if i double click it again turns to a tile with an oval and cirlce, looks like an I

if i click it again it goes to a gray text box the has the words NO data in it.

For real?

It's the manner in which you receive data on items.

The eyeball makes it so item info requires only a mouseover, and the info appears where the grey box is. (this is my preference)

"No Data" allows one to mouseover, but the info remains after you move the mouse

The mouse icon makes the item info appear next to the item (wherever your cursor is) on mouseover.

The semicircular arrow makes item info come up when you single click the item.

That's the icon to change how/where item info is viewed. Ie whether the properties are shown at the position where your cursor is, or whether it shows up in that box.

You have to go into options to disable it again for any affected chars.

Edit - I meant to say hide it, not disable it.

Raven - slightly wild guess, but did you visit a bunch of other shards to collect gifts on characters you very rarely use?

I've seen a couple of posts from people who did this, and when they had played a character from there, the settings they 'inherited' from that were overwriting their usual settings.

nope dont do that

just logged in with main 1x this am fine.
1x after patch at 7pm. Everything was reset

Tip from a veteran... Make your macro and game window config files read only...

you will crash everytime you log out
you will crash everytime you try to change options

BUT

nothing will disrupt your macros or game window config (hopefully)

i just cant patch with the 2d client at all...could be a system restore issue though, just gunna try a new install..
also my button that zapz people on there keyboard isnt working..
