Ok so we know speedhackers exist, anyone who denies this fact is either in serious denial or plain dumb. However using the kr client will yield similar if not identical speeds compared to 2d client players using a speedhack. What message is this supposed to be promoting? I have played this game for 10 years and only once have I used a speedhack, which was in order to determine what effect it actually had. I usually play in KR with pvp... yes yes I know it sucks for pvp.. however it is the only alternative an honest player has to keep up with players who are regarded by the masses as cheating little *******.
Now considering the devs have released a client that is capable of performing legitemately as fast as a client which can illegitemately attain such speeds, but falls far short of requirements in other fields.. what are players to think? personally I do not understand why the majority of players instantly regard a fast moving player as a cheater when there is a client available that supports these speeds. Surely the fact that the devs have released something that makes these speeds possible should make these speeds acceptable? Why don't the devs openly accept these hacks as part of the basic program? If everyone is moving at the same speed the problem will no longer exist due to the server side caps.
Add to this the fact that the speedhacking issue has been ignored for so long. We still pay our subscriptions but are basically being laughed at by those who take the choice of using certain programs and are literally running rings around those who choose to play in an honest fashion. The conclusion I have finally come to is that we should embrace this aspect of the game. the devs are clearly not bothered by it and have repeatedly refused to admit that it is easily testable in house, even in the most recent town hall they claim they cannot ascertain what the casual googler can in roughly 4 mins. so i put this question to you.. my fellow stratics players, should we all speed or should we all bleed our enjoyment to this frankly long overlooked aspect of the game?
