To deed or not to save and deed your customized home ?

I would like if you were able to save your customized house to say a house deed. That way if you move to another location and you wanted the same previous house design. All you have to do is open your deed and target your new plot. That would save hours of recustomizing your house all over again. Plus it would be neat to be able to sell your design to other players. Now, I am no game designer. But I am thinking it wouldnt take too much work to implement this into the game. In my opinion alot of players would be happy with this new change. I have seen this posted in here a few times. It seems no matter how us players feel about adding this new content or other content that players have talked about. The UO staff just dont seem to want to add or even comment on why they cant or wont add it into the game. I dont know how everyone feels about not getting a response or explanation on why they cannot implement a certain thing. But, I for one as a long time veteran of this game would like to know the reason behind for not implementing some things. Especially when alot of players would like this change and when it wouldnt take alot of work to implement it.

As someone who LOVES deco and design and has been asked on many occasions to "design" homes for others being able to "deed" the design would be a HUGE improvement...

Deco of course would be optional...

I would like added to the house sign a way to tell the house I want to move everything on floor #2 to the moving crate...

Or just pack the whole house into the crate...

There are many options I'd LIKE to see added to the housing menu...

This would also allow people to move their house designs to a new shard.

One of the things I've mentioned before is that (God forbid) shards needed to be consolidated, one could do it by redrawing the world map as 1 step = 1 minute, instead of the current 1 step = 4.something. That would make existing housing areas 16 times larger, and the Devs could earmark each house owner as having a spot in that area that would fit their current house. Each person could then bring their house deed in, reset their house, then claim a special moving crate to unpack. After everyone had time to move (a month or two), they could then allow housing expansion (and remodeling) into the additional room opened up by the land enlargement (as well as unclaimed areas).

Yeah. I like the Idea of moving into a "Condo" of sorts, which I guess is like a house somebody has already made and its ready to live in. So definitely.

I dont think its practical though. I wouldnt mind the next land mass to have some new themed premade houses like the classic ones though with some kind of new style. I miss Tents.

There are so many creative home designers in uor world... I would love to see something that replicates a house design in exchangable (okay, it isn't a word. Doh. Mayhaps call it: transferrable) deed form (even with a 'preview' gump of what it looks like ~ on the outside and floor-by-floor...). I can almost taste the next gen of UO's unrivaled personalized housing

I love this idea! Would create a whole new market. Would also make it really easy to save some designs you particularly like for the future.

I could go for this but only if the Deeds could be sold out of the house they were made From, and Only if it had the same design still. Otherwise I could drop down to a plot toss in 2 walls and make a Dozen Deeds named "Chateaux Nexus" then actually Build a nice design and sell the deeds for huge sums...

Mmm, very good point and very good idea.

Maybe it could be done by clicking on the house sign if the owner decides to put his/her design up for sale.

Honestly that is what I was thinking myself, instead of it being like a regular vendor deal. Click the House Sign, get an additional option "Buy Blueprint", you get a deed that when you go into customization mode of your own plot you get a new option "Apply Blueprint" select it your pack opens and BAM target House is built if you have the funds if not, it becomes the "Backed Up Design" that you can apply later.

Cost would be equal to the cost of the home, and owners don't have an option to sell designs from public houses. All the gold goes *poof* no one gets it!
