Ok many of you will enjoy this one if you having issues.
If you have the problem when browsing a folder full of videos "avi" files really
and then your system just freeze up or slows so much that you want to just buy a new computer well don't.
By default windows reads avi files every single bit of it for information on it. A large folder of avi files will probably never recover until you end the explorer process. The cpu goes to 100% usage.
To fix this you need to enter your registry.
1)Start-run then type in regedit
2)If you wish to back up your registry just export it under the file tab
3) If not or if you just did go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}\InProcServer32
4)Delete the folder InProcServer32
5)You see it loads a file called shmedia.dll which you don't want.
6)Once deleted try browsing your avi folders again through explorer
7)See the difference? Nice HuH

If you do a update in microsoft, usually a service pack update they have a habit of restoring this registry entry. Well you know what to do if that happens.
