So, can somebody tell me the correct tinkering skill level to have when making boxes for training locoicking? Currently I have 30 Lockpicking!
Thanks!
The higher the tinker skill is, the harder it is to pick the lock.
At 30 skill level you want to be picking a box made by a carpenter with a 50 tinker skill.
Once your lock picking gets to 50, you will want a box made by a carpenter with a 70 tinker skill.
At 70 boxes made by a tinker with 90 skill will give you the fastest gains.
Somewhere around 80-85 a GM made locked box will give you the fastest gains to 95.0.
Now this method I have found gets you to 95 in the shortest amount of time and with the fewest lock picks.
You can go from 30-95 with a single box made by a carpenter with GM tinkering, but you will use a ton of picks and it will take you a long time.
Once you hit 95 you have two choice.....go to Twisted Weald and get discorded by a Satyr. This will effectively drop your skill back to the 80's. Get 50 more gains while staying discorded and when you leave the area you will be GM.
Now that is dangerous and a real pain in the butt...I prefer just making a couple rune books of lvl 4 dungeon chests and just recall from spot to spot a few times a day. This method might take you a month to get those gains, but it only takes moments a day, and is a lot less stressful.
