Time Consuming Trick Or Treating Data - Spoilerish?

So many people are wondering what we get from trick or treating this year.

As of what's on TC1 currently I ToT'ed for several hours to come up with some data for everyone. If you wish to add your exact data to help us find exact percentages please do so, but I would suggest no less than 1000 total items before posting statistics as the percentages will get more accurate as the numbers get higher.

\\ As the Clilocs have not been yet assigned I will simply describe the items based on their current in game graphic names \\

Percentages have been rounded and data is gathered with 100.0 Begging at 0 Karma / 0 Fame as a Human.

Apparently, there was an error in the coding of this event and players with as low as 80 begging have access to the reward originally intended for beggars at 100 skill level. (The spiderwebs) An admin is taking votes on whether or not to leave it at 80 or fix it so that GM beggars who took the time to 100 the skill will have this one reward once a year. Please help promote voting on this issue at http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?p=938445#post938445

I for one, am for GM Beggars only as many will never know how long it actually takes to GM this skill and it definitely should be something worth rewarding to the players disciplined enough to do it.

If you found this data useful, please vote up the stars and keep it bumped.

Also, if you're a beggar and would like to see more changes to the begging system to encourage devs to make this a viable skill with rewards please read and post your thoughts here: http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?t=108556

Yea :(

I wanted to see if indeed the spiderweb was the "Gm Beggar reward" they spoke of in the patch notes. Based on my data it seemed to be it, but if anyone has more patience than me in doing more tests to see if there's an even more elusive reward feel free to post data and a screeny :)

People have been getting them with 80 begging. here is what a dev said about it on another thread.

Only GM Beggars were supposed to have a 2% chance of getting the small web while trick or treating. Based on your reports, seems like you are getting them as of 80+ skills. I'll have to take a look at the code on Monday.

That said, since this is only for Beggars, do you wish it to be fixed to GMs only or would you prefer it to remain at 80? For those who asked why not as of 50 Begging, it's because I only want to reward people who actually took the time to train the skill. Not those who made a newbie char using the advanced button and started off with 50.

TY christy, that was quite informative and I definitely have placed my vote in favor of GM Beggars only being able to have a 2% chance at receiving the web.

I will edit the original post to add the link to the beggar thread to help promote voting on the subject.

I think the 80 skill is fine that will keep those with 50 basic skill from getting them.... I don't see any problem with leaving it.

I know some GM beggar's won't like this, but I hope it's left at 80. You still had to work to even get that far. Also Xel Naga, per Sakkarah in another thread, the bread is a Giant Pumpkin Muffin and the wedges are Candy Corn.

I have mixed feelings about the 80 vs 100 - I do think there should be something of special about having GM skill, but I don't like the argument that it should be a reward for doing something tedious. People should be encouraged to have fun, not to grind.

In the end, I do support one reward that is GM only, but I would also like to see some statistical love for people grinding through the 50-80 and 80-100 zones (the fishing model of rewards at several stages comes to mind - it's a bit much to ask for in just an event, but perhaps there's a template which could be created at some point that could be used for fleshing out various minor-skill systems).

(oh, yes, and thanks for the data Xel Naga)
