Under thrown/Sweet Spot/Over thrown

How do I figure how what these ranges are for my character? I know it has something to do with the STR requirement of my weapon. I only know how to figure out the max range.

oh ok.. taken from uoguide

Underthrown - If, while equipped, a weapon has a maximum range of six tiles, and a player throws at a player two tiles away (too close) they have a Hit Chance penalty of 12%, but no damage reduction.
Perfect - Maximum range of six tiles, thrown a distance of four tiles. No Hit Chance penalty, no damage reduction
Overthrown - Maximum range of six tiles, thrown a distance of six tiles. No Hit Chance penalty, but 47% damage reduction

But does a lower str requirement on a weapon make the ranges smaller on the Under and Over thrown areas?

puni, just got to get a feel for it bud. throwers are great..no matter what weapon close combat sucks, and you cant ever be far away or youll stand and look stupid, hehe.

if we could only see the tiles in the field of play :/

That's the post I've been looking for lol thanks.

Is there any logical reason at all that Throwers(ranged attack ofc)should also have ever been able to Parry? The original formulas for the 'supposed' Hci/Dci penalties seem a joke.

Correct me if I am wrong but it seems like just another prime example of someone trying to make a new expansion/skill too powerful to not buy.

Sell it today and nerf it tomorrow!

holy cow is this true?

Details reguarding soul glaive

* The target is dismounted if possible, or paralyzed for two (2) seconds if not
* If the character has Mysticism or Imbuing above 80, the bonus damage will be raised by 1% per point above 80 up to a maximum cap of 65% bonus damage

Those are not the soul glaive details, they are the special move infused throw details. I am not entirely sure if they are 100% accurate at current though.

Either that or lack of testing or knowledge in pvp aspects of the game. I mean really.. how well thought out was Cleansing winds? That spell was the prime example of how clueless they were on how the new skills and spells were going to effect pvp.

double bingo!

sell , sell, sell, nerf it!
Seriously, guys! That's total bull pucky! No one played a thrower when SA was initially released. I tried and built one, but he sucked. It took months and several patches to make the thrower equal to an archer.

So what they did was more along the lines of:
sell, sell, sell, damn we need to buff it cause it sucketh.

I hear you. I was just stating what the Dev's had planned for throwing and it was plain overpowered. I have yet to make one so was only talking from what I read.

Either way though, Throwers are currently much more powerful then Archers. Not that that is a bad thing to most though :)
