Three creatures you would like to tame.

Creating new tamables requires a lot of work (models, spawn locations, stats, special abilities and so on). But what about making some of the already existing and wondrous beings tamable?

Considering that when tamed their stats/skills will drop to be no bigger than a greater dragon and knowing that they have to loose area-damaging spells and summon abilities because apparently they don't work well on pets, name three existing in game creatures you would like to be tamable:

Here's my wish list:

1. Hydras (5 slots, chaos fireball instead of area-chaos breath, would be a gd with a very funny look)
2. Tsuky Wolves (2 slots, they are simply too cute)
3. Shadow Wyrm (4 slots, maybe 5 if they won't drop stats when tamed)

I would love to have a few tamed pixies, for pets, simply cuz, I like the pixies.

Wish we [or someone] could tame a few of those for us all.

Mr. Treefellow might make an interesting *tame* too.

Swamp tentacles...always wanted a army of angry tentacles i can summon to my disposal
dark wisps...evil wisps already don't make sense, not sure what the story regarding them is even supposed to be, so why not just go the whole 9 and let them be tameable, get a couple cool little wisp pets following around popping off spells.

serpentine dragons...and we'd better be able to ride them....

There's more than enough super high end pets these days, tamers are powerful enough, but there's a dire lack of cool lower end pets.

if tamed could be sorta like lil nasty pet escorts
for say evil chrs.
like ye self to have as pets.
And perhaps permit only *EVIL* chrs. or neg karma chrs. like ye self
to be able tame say the dark wisps of Siege.
That be kinda neat.

Be comic funny too, say if low end dark wisps could be pets of neg. karma or evil chrs. and chrs. like myself could have pixies for low end pets, and then some epic comic battles ensue of our pet pixies and your dark wisps
whenever our crossed paths of say pos. and neg. karma'd folks with our low end tamed pet pixies and wisps. Be sorta amusingly comic to say the least.
I could sic a whole flock of pixies on you ! LOL

My thoughts are along a different train.

I feel like every expansion should have offered something new and nice for tamers to play with BUT - - the qualification includes the word NICE.

For example I killed the first skree I found with an *untrained*, *tamed* cu sidhe. Killed it like the piece of trash that it is. And both of these pets are 4 control slots. What the heck was that?

K so here's 3 creatures I'd like to "tame"! Not because they aren't tameable. Because they are pieces of **** and it would be nice if they weren't.

Skree - better be as good as a cu sidhe if it's going to be 4 control slots, or make it as good as a rune beetle and move it down to 3, or make it as good as a bake kitsune and move it down to 2.

Boura - This seems that it could be a wonderful tank pet if done up right. I imagine a 3 slot pet that does not do much damage but also takes very, very little. Haven't thought it out all the way. But it sounds neat. Oh yeah and it would be cool to get to ride it. One should be able to roll with a boura-bake and be mounted. It's not like a beetle-bake with rip-roaring damage.

Fairy Dragon. Update them with colors that reflect what elemental damage they do. One slot with pack bonus. Shadow Drakes for those tamers that are not GoodyToShoes. Hp and resist just a little better then Hellhounds with the resist and breath weapon based around there elemental strength.

Phoenix. 2 slot that self rez has area effect of a 4x120 bard firehorn to everything. Even the tamer and their friends.

Rare Ore Elemental : Tamer must have Mining to tame and heal. Vet healing is done with raw ore. Valorite Elemental is the only one that is 2 slots. Add in the gargoyle pickaxe the rare chance to pull a Lava Elemental. 3 slot with the Fire Beetle smelting ability.

Boura - This seems that it could be a wonderful tank pet if done up right. I imagine a 3 slot pet that does not do much damage but also takes very, very little. Haven't thought it out all the way. But it sounds neat. Oh yeah and it would be cool to get to ride it. One should be able to roll with a boura-bake and be mounted. It's not like a beetle-bake with rip-roaring damage.

Rideable would be nice - I'd even settle for a 'pack animal' variant to carry stuff (a lot of stuff at that size and strength!), the idea of pack-caravans of boura really appeal to me. However, I reckon they are nicely set up for tamers as they stand, my usual method when starting a new tamer on a shard is to start off taming a couple of boura, spar them against each other to raise their skills and practice vet and lore, and use them as body guards while I try tame trickier creature...

Regarding 'new' tameables though - it makes sense to me that the more intelligent 'social' races stay untameable, but I'd opt for fairy dragons, dread spider, maybe yamandon as a high-end tame...

I'd also like to put in a vote for skill 'synergies' combining taming with other skills - if you are also GM or above necromancer, or maybe spirit speak, persuading an undead to team up with you should be reasonable, similarly if you are enough of a mage to summon elementals combining that magery with taming might reasonably let you 'tame' one of the ones that can remain in the world, rather than only being able to summon their very temporary 'cousins', a tinker/tamer might be able to subvert the various Exodus and Blackthorn mechanical constructs, and so on.

Bouras is one of the more usefull pets in game it s a low end pet u can tame them around 60 or so in skill

I played alot with a highland and a lowland combo because i had no desire to grind taming untill i could get the high end pets and i can say anything u can do with a cu u can do with a high/low boura combo in pvm

I do agree with the riding them that would be cool

I could see them making a 'greater' version of the white wyrm thingies. You'd take our present-day greaters, give them a frost breath instead of a fire breath, give them the white wyrm's resists and model, and there you go. Stick it where there's snow, make it tameable.

There are many creatures I'd like to tame:

Greater White Wyrm (I know there isn't such a thing right now but one can do some wishful thinking can one not?)

Dread Spider & the Black Widow Spider... Its the Drow in me.

Shadow Wyrm now that would be a challenge.

Sudiva poor creature has been weeping and alone all this time it could use a friend.

Platinum Dragon (If we are dreaming).

Fairy Dragons they are so cute.

Deamon.... I can summon them why not tame one and bond it to my wicked needs.

The cat lover in me wishes we could have something like a Saber tooth tiger... or some such creature. Would need to be large enough to be some kind of mount like the CuSidhe.

A crane... that could catch fish... something that requires no taming... that my fisherman could keep as a pet.

Yeah, and on top of these new tamables, allow them to have perks like doing double damage against certain mobs. For instance, a serpentine would do double damage against anything undead or demon. Would give incentive to tame the lower end creatures.

Maybe a quest chain of some sort that gives the tamer a special item that allows you tame certain animals with a timer on it 2-3 hours.

Just make them very hard to get. Cannot be stabled and duration of 3 hours or so which would allow for some fun to be had.

Well I've always wanted two pets.. and I got them playing on a free shard..

Balron.. most bad ass demon EVER.. thing is it's soo soo soo slow. It's a better tank then a greater dragon, but you might as well walk because it crawls along.

Yamadon.. yeah I have one of these too on a free shard.. it does a leathal poison area effect attack and single handledly killed 50 fire steeds that were spawned in an effort to make it so that I could no longer have it as a pet. It just happens to attack me on top of everything else.. so have to be carful. But what is more badass then a yamadon? Yah they would have to make a new monster to top it..

Those are my two all time wanted pets.. A ridable dragon would be cool too but really Balron and Yamadon is all I would ever want.

1. Anchient Wyrm - i want jo back!! all 9 tons of loveable stealther wyrm who loves to eat reds on sight.

2. Shadow Wyrm - oh would i love this one just for the sheer orneryness of it.

3. Crymsondragon - a b*tch red head like me with the attitude to match when i am peeved!

I know this is just a want list but I would love to get back my Silver steeds too. Make the dragons rideable when fighting you got a deal! oh and I loved the Pink EM dragon now a paint job would be cool .

Actually a very good idea, a friend and i thought of something similar to like Dragon Barding deeds, but would work as like "Claw" add-ons for pets, giving them slayer weapon capabilities or damage type changes and such.

and such an addition might bring back the use for "Pack Damage" pets. like Hellhounds and Frienzied Ozzy's.
