Why exactly are these forums in existence if whenever somebody offers a counter-opinion to the Mod's liking, they go out of their way to find some reason to lock the thread and or ban the poster because they just can't accept the fact that somebody is arguing against their beliefs. This is the most ridiculously moderated forum I've ever seen...it is censored beyond belief and does not even allow people to openly talk about scripting, something that has been in UO for at least 6-7 years now. Seriously people, grow up already this is 2010 not 1984.

The UHall front page is full of scripting discussions, how can you say we don't allow you to openly discuss it? I assume you had a post removed because you went too far and mentioned a script name or accused someone?

Seriously, you can talk just about anything you want as long as you don't' mention program names or discuss the technique on how to do something that isn't allowed by the TOS. You also agreed to abide by those rules, which you should have read, when you signed up for the Stratics boards.

What exactly and what more are you looking for?

The post i made was in the "My Idea to Deal With Cheaters" thread and was locked because apparently I was "promoting the use of 3rd party programs". Not once did I mention a 3rd party program anywhere in my post.

I hope you realize 1984 was a reference to a novel...anyway Old Man Of UO, the reason it is clear to you that it was locked is due to the fact it goes against what you believe. We all know your against <insert one of a thousand "cheating" options here,> the point is I am entitled to my opinion and threads should not simply be locked because the mod does not agree. There was absolutely no reason to lock that thread.

funny thing is just last nite i was thinking about making a thread asking if anyone knows of a forum i can go to, to be able to post and read post from others that IS NOT MODERATED so we can all get a none biased and fair opinions of others and speak our minds with out fair of a BAN or post deletion.

imo stratics is the "care bear" of forums they seek to protect the UO team and in doing so leads to bad decisions from the team which leads to lost of players.

The real reason UO is dying is because trammy mods have the power to regulate what the devs do and do not hear with regard to public opinion. It is quite pathetic.

Trammy Mod says, "Publicly discussing actions by the moderators is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: bans, warnings, locks, and moved threads. Any inquiries or comments on bans, warnings, or other moderator actions, are to be sent in private messages or via email. A moderator may choose to publicly inform the participants of a forum about bans and warnings if this is in the interest of the forum."
