This is a warning for the community about a scammer who has been robbing people all over Atlantic

The scammer has stolen tens of billions worth of items and houses, and has been targeting well known buyers who are known to spend large amounts at one time. The scammer takes the payment but never delivers the items, instead she runs away with the payment. This has been confirmed by multiple well known and trusted members of the community who have been robbed.
The scammer can often be seen at Luna bank, standing in the same place that Sadie/Gannon usually stands.
I'm sure that Sadie/Gannon agrees that this complete betrayal of the community is terrible, and that the scammer should stop immediately.
Since Sadie/Gannon plays Atlantic and is a part of the community it must be hard for Sadie/Gannon to watch so many people get scammed. Hopefully Sadie/Gannon will be able to warn people about the scammer often since the scammer stands in the same place that Sadie/Gannon usually does. Sadie/Gannon must see this person very often.
If you would like to know the identity of the scammer, please send me a message and I can tell you privately. Icq me #672482209, i can give u info and stories of 3-4 ppl who got scammed or were almost taken advantage off in last 10 days for alot of their hard work in the game and i hope this doesn't happen to more people or you.
The scammer should not be able to get away with this and we as a community must inform others about these terrible scams. I hate people who make our game worse and i wont stand for it. Can u give us more details on how he gets paid first? Not using a trade window and having both party's put the trade in place before the trade is completed? And yes almost every person in the game is a scammer its so sick to say but the GMs don't care! At all so you are on your own for those who may not have known. Btw don't pay to join a guild. That one happened to me. At least wait a month is there's dues then that's another story

Just curious. Not trying to upset anyone here. Why would anyone pay for something without getting the item right away via trade window? I understand that you/others want to trust people, but that puts yourself in the position to possibly get scammed. Only time I can imagine someone paying up front for something is for:

1) imbuing services. Someone runs of with 500k...big deal?

2) The other big one is shard Xfer services. Not having a xfer shard shield and playing on a non-Atlantic shard can make trade/sales very difficult. You really need to have a lot of trust for xfer shard services for high value items.

3) The last one is buying things with cash. Only time I would pay for something via cash is through a reputable cash-shop with confirmed positive reviews from users. Don't know any official trade moderators for peer-to-peer sales.

always use broker for cross shard trades you arent comfortable with, or at least ask around.

minimize risk. its always good practice to do several smaller trades with someone you havent dealt with before. no experienced, legit seller should be opposed to this.

scammers built rep by conducting legit trades, in order to start scamming again.

freinds / associates of scammers, more often than not also have less than steller reputations.

in the end, its worth paying a little more and dealing with an established player with a long term, positive repuation. i cant tell you how many times ive seen people scammed because they wanted to save a tiny bit.

The last time this person was scamming was about a year ago, similar situation. active on great lakes.

If someones selling the same items (in this case duped non-replicas / duped resources at rock bottom prices) theres a good chance its the same person or same group. this person was selling the same types of items on GL and Atlc.

Supporting scammers / cheaters (even if you dont personally get scammed) enables them. even if your sure a particular trade isnt a scam, best practice is to avoid these people all together.

Ive tried to warn people for over a year about this person, however many just dont listen, many dont care, and the stratics rules have made it extremely difficult to expose scammers in the past.

Sadie/Gannon/dropturkey is the scammer and these are the names hes goes by, he is the CS guild, dont trust any of them, on icq, he goes by gannon and offers to sell uo gold for .10-.14cents which is also illegal. Dont not be fooled, dont not listen to anything he says.....

Yes exactly wht you said Tabin, that is correct. I had help from Norrington making this post so everyone can be warned and be on the look out for this person, cause she's trying to hit anyone for anything, she got stopped by me earlier with someone who was gonna sell her dread mares and she was demanding 1 or couple up front. Not everyone is a scammer in this game and most people are legit here and the community is pretty close, everyone knows everyone, very easy to point out a bad and Evil apple as long as we can discuss is publicly for everyone to witness, so ty to this site and moderators for helping us do so, im sure this post will help some ppl from this evil girl. Very nice to see a good discussion about this going the bigger the better. Everyone
here to play this game and have fun, no one likes or wants to be robbed and no one should have a bad time playing a game they love and enjoy. I never pointed anyone out from what i wrote. My post was made specifically by the guidelines of strati cs, i wanted to make sure it will stay up for a bit so everyone gets a chance to see the info they need to know about scammers/scamming.

It's sad that you have to ***** foot around a subject just to warn the community about a risk on stratics. Or else be reprimanded. And that's exactly why stratics will never actually be a community, because it doesn't allow anyone to raise the alarm about someone and warn people directly. How many people would have run to the scammer otherwise and sympathized "oh someone is taking advantage of your name, here let me help you" like so many other "well known" collectors have asked for in the past when being "victimized" after reading the catastrophe that is the OP's post?
