Hellhound meat is still available to purchase near Umbra moongate. In fact, you can feed it to a hell hound from the Fire Temple Ruins mini-champ, lure the hellhound to the Secret Garden mini-champ (which is 2 screens away) and make it fight with the Pixie [Renowned]. Pixie [Renowned] kills it in less than a minute and also, if you can damage it a little, you will still get a Bloody Sash.
These things don't effect PVP fights in the least bit. Very easy to get around the incurable slow effect AND dodge the 80+ breath attack while fighting.Look like some ppl have some left over meat and feed the Hell bound in Deceit. this is want the Champ area look on Pac right now
ETA on fixing these creatures spawn locations?
It deals 200 damage at full hit points, 60 damage if you're wearing 70% resist or 80 damage if you're wearing 60% resist.
The treats should have only worked on bane chosen hell hounds which are extinct at the moment (except for SA dungeon near Slasher, if they count).
What spawning locations? You mean the meat?

Hehe, you are so in love with the mini-champ ;P. Of course once you get to dark wisps you're screwed, you should mention that as well ;P.
What he means is the champ spawn hell hounds shouldn't be changeable, it's OP.
My favorite mini-champ
. Also, a small piece of blackrock and an ironwood composite bow take care of the dark wisps.

I got lots of meat left too. So if I tame a hellhound, take it somewhere & feed it, it will change and I will still be able to control it, and stable it later?
Very good question! You cant feed it if its tamed, you will receive the following message:
This creature has been tamed, it is no longer connected to the elder demons.
