This event sucks big time for several reasons:
>> I think it is ok if an event requires a group of fighters (although I don't like that very much). But basically this is mostly a tamer event. Mages can't use most of their spells in town. Melee fighters have to team up with at least 5 other fighters.
>> You can fight for hours in the event until you finally manage to kill a Vanguard. The loot is a worthless shield and a worthless sword. Most people rather fight peerless, as it is a hundred times more fun and rewarding than fighting those Vanguards (Exception again: Tamers, who go for the Warhorses).
>> What about those Restless Souls? They attack you, sometimes you can attack them, but neither they do damage, nor you can damage them. On the one hand, this seems like an annoying bug. On the other hand: One less worthless monster causing trouble.
>> In some locations, healers are not available or do not function. For example in Nujel'm: If you die there with no other player around, you are doomed. No healer (I actually found one, but he didn't resurrect), no Moongate. Body with equipment decayed. Also, the healer in Cove didn't work yesterday.
>> Recalling into some of the vanguard spawn location causes techical issues: My character froze completely. It was not lag, as I could see other players and creatures moving around me. I could not cast spells, I could not walk, I could not dismount or use things in my backpack. A monster finally attacked me and I could do nothing but watch it beat me up until I died. After restarting the client, I was able to move again. Very funny, if that happens to you in Nujel'm during off-peak hours...
>> Some monsters (Liches) loot items from your corpse and then vanish. Very motivating!
So, what's the object of this event? Fighting the same monsters over and over again? Monsters you haven't even the slightest chance soloing even with a very skilled character? Why should anyone go to such an invasion, rather than fighting monsters in a dungeon? I guess the only people being motivated to go there are tamers.
Whoever thought out this event, lacks of ideas and fantasy.
