Thinking of tranferring to LA

How is it here? I know of a few people that have transferred here but haven't talked to them since they never came to my shard. How's the housing situation? And are there good guilds? Thanks

Unpopulated, good guilds, good people, might want to make a character and check it out sometime as far as vendors and open areas go, check out prices all that.

I just recently returned to the game and I would like to reccomend LA to anybody thinking of transfering here. Plenty of housing availble. People on this shard are helpful and nice. Only ran into one jerk so far that was very rude. Haven't done any PVP yet on here, but it seems theres some people that do it. But the population does seem to be rather slim. I had actually planned on joining LS, but decided on LA because I had more chars made on here.

We are indeed a small but very friendly group. There is usually a hunt going on some where and people for the most part have no problem with you joining in. Most of us will even stop and talk if we see you. Lessa TDA and Rowan WSUL make a point to do this. Don't be afraid to ask.

We could use more good people, I think we have the best in UO already but some more new blood wouldn't hurt anything.

As the folks here have said, we're a smaller community but the people here are quite respectful of each other and take pride in LA. We're always happy to get new folks but a lot of it depends on what you like to do. If its PvP, there's not so much as other shards. If its other things, then you can usually find something to do and to do it with. I've seen some folks return because they can find a house spot, get help starting out, tag along with guilds during hunts, and actually find people who will go out of their way for you here.

Tamais is a great example of a person who just does random acts of kindness all the time. A person who was upset that no one remembered his birthday came up to Tamais as I was talking with her at Skara bank a couple weeks ago. So she set up a birthday celebration for the person complete with cakes, gifts, and party favors. Then because he liked fishing, we spent most of the afternoon with him at sea having a big fish contest. It was a lot of fun.

So if things like that are what you enjoy, then you will very much like LA and the people who inhabit the lands.

Said in a different way, I believe that the population of LA is disproportionally higher, that enjoy community, the game, and just plain old having fun.

LOL, well, that's only because of the shard population geometry...LA has some of the worst offenders...
