Things Going to the moving crate and rambling.

I rarely log into Atlantic but do keep a couple of houses there and one developed account. So when I log on to Atlantic a little bit ago...... I about stroke out...... the wall of the house with all of my shard shields is empty. It has probably been 2-3 months since the last time I had been to that house and that house exist for two reasons, to store soul stones with skills to shield to shards when I claim new shard shields and to hang the shard shields in.

So after the usual panic logging in every character on the house owner account and searching all 6 chest in the house 50 times. I pull up the house menu and in customize there is the relocate moving crate lit up. And there are all of my shard shields and 40 soul stone tokens I had not even noticed were missing in the panic to find the Shields........ Hey stones are easy to replace compared to 16 shard shields!

So now I wonder how they ended up in the moving crate...... That house has not been customized or anything else done to it since it was placed years ago and the Borg cube built. The shields as they are added to the walls have never been taken down once locked down and no one has access to the house other than my accounts. I doubt I will ever know how but all of the shield are back up, locked down and the panic over. Now my shard to shard skills and resource transfer hub is back to normal and I can prepare to infest two more shards in a week or so when I get two new shields.

Doubt I will ever achieve it but my goal is to have 2 houses on every shard and atleast one account on each shard with all skills maxed out. So every year on one old account I pick two new shard shields. Occasionally on the other old accounts I will pick an Altantic shield or two to use to send skills and resources to the Atl shard to shard central hub and then on to the destination shard. But usually those other 3 old accounts just pick Garden Sheds and Vet tele tiles, Almost picked the Ethy Spider after seeing it in game TG I didn't The next two shard that I will infest are Lake Superior and Lake Austin I have already laid the ground work and placed the perm 2 houses on Lake Superior. Lake Austin I do need to get to work on and get the houses placed and the base characters made.

Anyway the shields were found the stroke out prevented and all is once again normal in UO for me Still wonders how all those shields ended up in the house moving crate though

Id like to remodel my main house. But there are too many items placed in in accessible places so they would go into the moving crate and I forgot how I got them in those places.

Weird... But would cause me to have a stroke... good thing I don't keep all my eggs in one basket I suppose... but keep shard shields in the house for the account that owns them... which can make it rather difficult when I want to go somewhere and can't remember which account has the shield to that shard...

So, which shards are still on your to-do list? And do you try to be completely self-sufficient when you start on a shard or will you accept help like basic suits, full spellbooks, runebooks, etc., especially if the shard offers little in the way of shopping?

I am self sufficient, I usually move 120 mystic, Imbue, blacksmith, tailor, tame and lore and 5-10 soul stones to a new shard for the nooblet characters, that gives me the basis for a template to get the gold up and I try to start two new accounts that will hit 12 months at or near the same time to claim 2 comod boxs, a corrupted portal for each shard. Then kill those accounts and open two more new ones for the next time.

Still have a lot of shards to go, Where I am is a much shorter list than where I am going Legends, Origin, Great Lakes (Where I Started), Atlantic, Chessy, Cats, Europa, Drachen, Chessy, Sonoma, and Osh. Are where I am set up and developed. and have atleast one house. LOL my friends are scattered around and have different levels of game time...... So I started claiming shields so I could take stuff to them and if someone sends a FB message or calls and says hey you want to go do something in game I am able to do so without waiting a hour to transfer or play with half baked characters. Then as those friends dropped out of the game over the years I decided I would just play every shard eventually. LOL I will probably die or UO get the plug pulled before I accomplish that but I love playing and skilling up and it usually takes me a year to max every skill on a shards account

I am thinking about going to pacific next as it has 5 accounts loaded with old holiday gifts and 35 soul stone fragments from whenever they handed those out and HEritage tokens galor LOL. LOL just discovered or rediscovered that this morning.

Nope on the changing or moving anything with a decorator. If you have ever seen most of my houses they follow the same design of a BOX. I placed that house, built the Cube As I am writing this my wife is informing me she committed the cardinal sin of logging on to my old accounts and that she put them in the moving crate because she was going to redo the house LOL. and then realized it was in fel and went to another house to play architect. AND DID NOT PUT THE SHIELDS BACK UP AND LOCK THEM DOWN Now I know.

I only claim shields on the oldest account and that is his house. Well other than the Atlantic Shield I claim here and there on the other accounts. But now that my wife enjoyed the show of me panic searching for them. She came clean about how the shields and the stones got in the moving crate I always mark a rune with the key -=9=- for example, I number all of my accounts 1 through 105 now 45 of those are just 1 year vet reward accounts that I kill after claiming the vet rewards for the first year. Easier to claim two comod boxes and a corrupted portal on most shards than it is to buy them and I have pool of accounts that can easily be activated if I ever decide I need a house holder or want to get back into the real estate business, which is not likely.

Appreciate the offer, I think I am going to start up a toon and start working him this evening on Pac. And start with noob skills and train him up the old fashioned way. I run pretty basic imbued and loot gear other than my luck suits but it will be a while before I have mystic or tamer on Pac that will be safe in luck suit If you happen to have a junk lrc suit that would help don't care about resist or any other mods. Have some full soul stone tokens there I must have used the SE free codes for at some point. Might sell one or two of those to get some start up gold going. LOL I will probably running around New haven doing escorts and getting my 50 in skills all evening until I can graduate to Ettins and go for the big loot

Had a guildmate who placed all his soulstones in one room of his home and when he logged on the next day, they were all gone. He had just moved to it. He called a GM to check under the house, around the house, to see if they were there and could not see them, checked the moving crate, check with those of us who had access. I wish certain items were attached to some "menu to us" but we could display a ghost/item to represent the item since we are the only one who can use it.
