Thieves Guild Quest?

I saw this posted before and haven't heard anything about it or been able to verify any of it. Supposedly it was dug out from the coding of the patch?

Thieves Guild Quest - Britain
This quest involves stealing items from townspeople (not players) in various cities of Sosaria looking for specific items, then bring those items back to receive a gift from the thieves guild. The challenge and the gifts will improve with your continued success. You will be given a magic sack to fill with the goods needed. You will not be able to drop this sack or trade it, but the things placed in this sack will be reduced in weight. So, ye think ye have something to offer the guild, eh? You think your talented eh? Well, we'll see. I got an order for ye to "procure" if'n ye know what I mean.If'n ye get caught procurin' it, I'll tell em ye stole the sack from me. But if ye make good on the order, I got a gift waitin' for ye from the guild.
A rare gift from the thieves guild.

Can anyone verify this please?

I had never heard this, but it sounds cool! Hopefully the bag prevents you from losing the stuff if you get guard whacked....

First of all, I would assume you'd have to actually BE a thief and in the Thieves guild before you could even get this quest.

Of course that's just an assumption.

Second, it might not even be implemented yet or it might be part of the Halloween thing.

So..first thing to do is get your thief out and go to Britian (From the wording of the quest I would again assume you'd get the quest from the thieves guild master/mistress there.)

I say dive in and see if it's out there! If it is, then this sounds kind of fun. I might even make a thief to give it a try!

Can we get a confirmation that this has actually been implemented or is on the horizon? I think that thieves have been given sort of a bum rap since most of their work is PvP and they don't have much in the way of PvM love....

handful of SA stealables and TOK ones... I have more fun stealing the limes from pro shops in serps. Other then stealing from champ spawns they are a complete tool. I hope this quest with the brit thieves guild comes before I close my accounts out.

I just joined the thieves guild. I clicked on the guild mistress after I joined, and did not get a quest.

The list of items sound interesting, but I have a suspicion that no new graphics will go with the items. *Sighs longingly"

I think you will have to speak some sort of words to the thief guildmaster(mistress) in Britain. That is, when it is activated. Not sure if it's activated now. Looks like it's going to be fun!

That would be sad.... It sounds like a pretty good quest and repeatable as long as the list was random....

I wonder if they would consider turning that back on permanently. I don't know what the reward was, but it could be toned down if it was too good for mass circulation.

I do not think that this quest has been implemented yet. I ran around everywhere to try to find a npc that would give the quest. Then I realized that since it says you have to steal from npc, it is probably in fel because you have to be able to snoop the npc and you can only do that in fel. So I ran around in fel for another half hour but i still did not find anything at all.

This is kinda ridiculous. I wish it could be cleared up by the staff... anyone try emailing mesanna about this? anyone remember her email?

Wait, wait, wait.... You can't even snoop and NPC on Trammel?!?!?! I know I've been gone a long time, but I had no idea that things had gotten that ridiculous.

Thieves should be able to operate against NPCs in Trammel, it's not a PvP activity.... What the heck!

I vote this to be the next write in campaign to Mythic.

Nop, when you try to snoop an npc in Trammel it says cannot preform negative acts on this target or whatever

Well, I guess there will be no snooping involved. And it seems like you can steal from some NPCs in Tram. I guess this quest could be in Tram or Fel. I'm not sure where it will be. It could be in both facets. Wish they would turn it on if it isn't already on.

My last post was removed so im reposing. THE ANSWER IS IN FRONT OF U. MONSTERS DON'T HAVE BACKPACKS AND U CAN STEAL FROM THEM. U can steal from ANY NPC. Any TRUE thief would know this. Most NPC's bags are empty. And on a side note EA would not risk the massive amount of complaints if you HAD to join the thief's guild. Most trammys would cry when i kill them off and loot their corpse in LUNA.

Improve our style of play....by making a tram quest that involves clickign npc's?

Much like how they included dungeon "stealables" to appease thieves after taking away our ability to do much of anything this has nothing really to do with the profession, this is just the skill and title being slapped onto a quest so they can say "yeah, this skill is useful again!". It's much like how they've re-purposed other skills for entirely inappropriate uses just to make them "useful" again and make you have to train a few more skills. (forensic eval for playing the worst game of scavenger hunt ever, item id for finding imbue strengths even though you could just look at it in the imbue menu, begging to get trick or treat "rares", etc...)

I do however want to see everyone to start joining the thieves guild for other reasons that many forget come with that decision (doesn't really effect us on siege though)

I believe you misunderstand my meaning, and I mean the NPC thieves guild as some were talking earlier that they tried to tjoin to see if they could get the quest.

Quests like this wouldn't really interest those of a REAL thieves guild.

It is sad that this generation will never know the thrills of running a true town thief.

Heavy populated towns as you would have to push your way through people to get to the bank.

Plenty of targets and loot.

The strategy, the grab and the flight. It took some skill to run a town thief.

It is not implemented yet. It wasn't even mentioned in the patch notes let alone announced so I don't know why anyone would expect it to be active. The only reason we know about it is because we found it listed in the 7.0.17 client patch. They are probably just preparing for the quests to be implemented in the near future with adding the lines to the client.

Such as? I was replying to a mention of giving up a certain advantage of tram rules and since you can't get pked in tram the inability to report someone for murder obviously isn't the answer.
