First of all, Thank you Tomas Bryce for the heads up on the Book. I appreciate it greatly. I took many more pictures and managed to get this many up before I bailed out on the commentary to go Champion Spawn hunting with Draken Korin & TWT and Ahuaeyjnkxs. I feel I must get a certain amount of hunting in otherwise I am very unhappy.
*smiles* Commentary begins:
Here Ahuaeyjnkxs and I are studying it. It is penned by Barra Linath who has an offer for us. It asks us to be at Makuto Bank at 7:00 EST if we wish to learn more.
We formed a giant circle while we waited for our mysterious host.
Suddenly as if from no where....Barra Linath is before us.
She explains that she has an offer for all of us.
She is a dark skinned elf with a fantastic tale about being thrown out of Heartwood and adopted by ninjas originating in Zento City. Read more here...Barra Linath
She has been trained and has excelled enough to much advancement...

She tells us that they have given permission for her to recruit a clan.
We are not told anything more about this mysterious clan but already many are exciting about joining.
Barra Linath excites the crowds' bloodlust even further by explaining that a certain number of contract killings must be carried out...
No one questions under whose command these people are chosen or why. We all await the names and locations like children in a provisioners' store with our father posed over the candy jars. We want more...
We listen with thoughts racing as to the best way & fastest way to dispatch these poor unaware souls. No one knows yet whether they will be easy foes or hard foes. Will they be with loved ones?
After 10 people are cut down. Barra Linath offers us a way to keep score of this madness. A spider statue is fastened to the south corner of the bank platform that announces the points scored and by whom. Another 10 contracts will come very soon.
And just when we think things are about to settle down. Up walks Kaden Marsten who banters with Barra Linath back and forth. It seems he is a newly minted member of the Britannian Guards under Lord Casca. He begins to make us all doubt what we have just done and under whose banner should we be following...

The basic event was:
Arrive at Zento to find Barra Linath, a lady (Dark Elf) whose family was banished from Heartwood. Upon Banishment, they wandered to Zento and were taken in by the Ninjas and trained in their arts. Birra assigned "Assassination contracts" giving us a player name, facet (even Felucca), and location clues and sent us out to locate and kill the mark.
There were 10 marks total, and a point was earned by each player who got one of the "kill shots". The event did not really end after the 10 were killed and I believe will resume again at some point in the near future with more "contracts".
Darius(?) Skyfire is the leader with 3 confirmed kills so far.

It seems I played a central rôle, first as the ONLY person to question the motives and purpose of the Drow. Not only I questioned her targets until she mentioned an orc, and I think we soon realised we were dealing with a group of frantic mindless killers and has no chance of reaching any of the targets first, which were all easy kills including an old ettin who might or not have been a gentile worn by age and a cursed human who was cursed into elemental form whom we will never know how much important information he held, AND a Palladin whom intentions will never be known... (all we know is he carried a unique necromancer scroll which was handed mindlessly to the drow for a "rank") AND a healer who turned on his patients being affected by the shadowlord spell Hatred. We could have merely tried to aprehend them until the spell wore off maybe ? Maybe they had seen something significant !
As Cear would say : Gwah !
So remaining there we saw a Royal Britanian guard of high rank come challenge the whole purpose of this ! He wanted to aprehend the drow, but ninjas being ninjas...
Wow it finally felt like ULTIMA ONLINE ! I was thrilled, there was twists and turns and dynamism ! He told us many interesting things that I keep to myself for now, unknowing if the man can be trusted yet. But one thing is that I represented the PoV very well and even one of the contract killers turned to me and publicly admitted I was a bright one.
So this man also claimed we should hail Casca as king, I have yet to hear anything that would make me lean into that position yet, he also said he was not into politics, so perhaps the elf has noble blood after all, it's still possible and I shall remain openminded.
I feel tonight's even will be very important and I might not make it, would it be possible to make journal snapshots as well ? Thank you !

Perhaps, you folks can better organize all the event related news on this forum? It is difficult to follow whats going on in the current format.

I agree, how the hell were people supposed to know about this event? Nobody even goes to Brit Bank and see's a book that was placed there an hour or two before the event. Why isn't there a heads up?
I'm getting the same notice and information you are. I am trying my best with the information that I have which is the UO Herald Posts and nothing more.
