The Two Story Statue

As a curiosity I've had over the past few years, I've always wondered why the Two Story Statue had never been made into an obtainable item in game. Most of the highly duped items had been made into replicas, save for the two story statue graphic.

I remember seeing a bag of a few dozen four years back or so, so it was obviously an item that had been manufactured on a fairly large scale.

Knowing that, it is also a very popular and attractive item for players to own, and I definitely would love to see the graphic, obviously altered in name or color, without the ability to speak, to preserve some of the rareness of the originals.

Playing around with different hues, the statues look quite good using standard ore colors, and would be interesting additions to the BOD system, peerless system, champ system, or one of the many other established systems in UO.

I can think of a few other graphics that would also fit into this category, but the two story statue is by far the most desired one I've seen to date.

There is a two story statue obtainable through heritage tokens. It isn't the same one that you are speaking of and it doesn't talk, but it is out there.

I agree. This item has been duped often and appears and several sites for rl money and is always in stock. This item should be added in as a replica.

I think such rare items like this give UO a very special aspect. I'd much rather keep that, if possible. But I don't know the facts here.

This isn't particularly rare as it was duped so heavily, along the lines of the open books.

Displaying or having possession of them was a bannable offense for quite some time. Much like the empty jars (initially), I believe the only way of obtaining them was through using UO Extreme (long defunct).

I don't know anything about the dungeon version of the statue, but the ones in front of the moonglow bank were a source for quite a while. Fel-side, you should see 2 statues on top of each other at each corner - unless they got around to correcting it. Trammel should only have one.

It was the usual, one was locked down properly - the other wasn't. The problem was actually picking it up due to the fencing.


There really isn't much that is truely rare anymore, everything should be craftable in some form.

I'd also like to see the two "Elven" banners included in the Spring Clean too.

I would LOVE to get some of those.

Are you honestly pointing towards UO dev teams lack of integrity ?

The evil thing that made the orcs gave them all the features of a beast and made them even worse than drow. The aggression of gorillas, the intelligence of pigs, orcs know nothing other than war and gluttony for all they do is kill and drink. In all the haste to make a killer their creator gave them no repentant qualities. It is the sacred duty of our noble race to destroy these creatures.

We are truly the lions of the jungle that is Sosaria. Our rule is supreme. While there are pockets where snakes, gorillas and spiders may reign…they scatter at our approach for they know the pecking order.

These are for sale for real cash on the search websites constantly.....along with the heavily duped scafolds......hit the cheaTING BUGGERS were it hurts them most....in there grubby pockets....make them a reward for the new spring clean in summer event.

2 story statue i can understand, but scaffolds should not be made obtainable, they arent duped as much as the statues, they hardly ever go for sale and are still pretty rare

Personally, I think that any items that were created/duped like that (or any other method) should be removed, reguardless of how long it has been (ie- vine cord sandles).

The 2 story statue fiasco is weird...they still hold high gold value and on the search engines high dollar value yet its common knowledge they were duped to the hilt!!.....im guessing if some mega millionaire even tried buying each 2 story statue form the search sites...a new one would keep coming for sale as soon as he had bought the last!!!! they must have chests full of em yet try not to flood the market by drip feeding them into it.

Hit the dupers hard and stop this endless revenue of real cash going into there pockets by making them a high reward in the new spring clean!!!

So if u want a 2 story statue or scafold then u have to buy it ...fully knowing its a 95% chance its a dupe anyways....and will have to pay real money or part with 100-200 millo for what is a very nice but very duped item!!!!

I say make em a spring clean reward....high level one,,,,.and NO we dont have to make every rare not rare....but we can make the known heavily duped items nice rewards for people to work for in the game we pay to play!!!!
