The time has come

It makes me sad to say this, but Enigma and I have finally decided to pack up and move on from UO. Many of you know that we have not been active for a long time. Like so many others we hung on to our pixels, houses, and accounts. We have finally decided it is time to let go. It is not the current situation with siege or the players or the devs that is prompting this decision. We just no longer love this game. I tried once before to quit, but auto-renewal and bod changes made me stay. This time, even an expansion that is a crafter's dream could not keep my interest.

Over the next few weeks we will be sorting through 6 houses and accounts. Patty and Enigma will not be sold. We just can't let anyone play those chars. Call us crazy.

The first thing I want to take care of is The Port. I want to put it in good hands. I want to make sure it stay public and provides the same services it always has. The new owner will get the Port as it is- with all the runes books, dye tubs, luck statue, ankh, lockpicking boxes, academic bookcases, fountains, all furniture and decorations. I want the new owner to take care of it and run it better than I did. Out of all my pixels in UO, this is probably the one thing that saddens me the most to give away. I am not running an auction. I will be choosing the new owner. PM me if you are interested.

We have many fond memories of this game. UO was a big part of our lives for many years and will never forget our experiences here.

thanks everyone for the well wishes. i will still stop by stratics. i think this past year i was on stratics more than in game!

i am not exactly sure yet what is going on with our accounts and pixel crack. keep an eye out for auctions or selling posts.

i am still deciding on what to keep (aside from soulstones). i don't see myself coming back, but that's what everyone says.... so, i am keeping a few things. just not sure what they will be yet. So, i want to hear from those people who quit and sold off everything then came back. what did you wish you had?

I would say, keep you're most prized possessions and sell the rest off. Keep the gold/soulstones in your banks. If you wanna come back you'll have a ton of money to start. Can always re-buy what you lost.

his keyboard was not so sweet after the capt and coke incident....err, actually, it was probably VERY sweet after that! Anyway, he tried hard to clean it but was not successful and had to get a new one. i think he has a G12 now.

I just wanted to close out this thread.

@Sir Morder- no "goodbye" thread is complete without that comment so.... Thank you for making my thread complete!

The Port has been placed in the hands of Kelmo. I gave away my keep, and much of my pixel crack. I have stashed away a few goodies in my castle in case I ever come back. You know the saying...... everyone comes back!
We are keeping open the Enigma account, so maybe if something fun is going on, you might see one us. I'll continue to lurk here on the boards.

There is one more house to clean out. We will probably make it public and invite people to come loot it, like we did with the Umbra house. Keep an eye out for it!

It has been a memorable six years. There are too many people to thank, many of whom have moved on, so.....you know who you are.

I remember Patty joining NEW and Enigma joining just before she moved on. E asked me to keep it secret from her, and if she noticed we had an 'Enigma' on the roster to try and convince her it wasn't him because he told her he wouldn't ever come to Siege and wanted to surprise her when he was ready.

It didn't take her long to enquire about the 'E' we had on the roster... next day I think. Needless to say she knew it was him (and I'm not a very good liar)
Was that really 6 years ago? Time flies right enough.
