The Tax Man (an event)

He was called the Tax Man. Tan cloak, robe, you couldn’t tell what was wearing underneath all of it. He was often seen lurking from place to place. Sometimes you could see him in different taverns around the different cities having a drink or 2 or more. You hid when he came around. He was good at his job. Lord British hired a good one when it came to getting things done. His name was Yahaxithonix. People called him Yahax

More to come.

He was always writing things in the books he carried around with him. Peoples names, things he collected if they didn’t have gold to pay their taxes. Nice things too. Robes, furniture, ancient weapons. He went for the good things. He may have pilfered some of the gold too. One never knows.

more to come.

It was in the books he wrote,
that he would leave a simple note.

Notes of the things he stoled,
Like swords and chairs, all shiny and gold,
Daggers and knives,
And pretty things you'd find on wives.
Do I have an aneurysm?

I can't read these posts without converting them into Seussian style in my head, with accompanying illustrations.

He had a way of hiding things from Lord British when he collected what he thought was the best stuff. Chests of stuff. He had it spread out all over the place. The chests would be in one place but the keys were kept elsewhere. Then for some odd reason Saturday kept slipping into his drink filled mind.

Silently the fleet moved here and there...
"Soon, I be done with my task, and the shores will bleed."

Yahax was getting sloppy and careless with his talk even after a few drinks. Letting things slip about the loot he has. Then he realized he needed to put his loot in better places. He set his mind to thinking through the fog of drink.

more to come...

The boats were in place. All the goods were placed in the holds. Now all you have to find the keys to the boats and the loot is yours. Find Yahax as he stumbles from tavern to tavern and steal his books that will show the way to where his house is. Then loot the chests to find the keys to the boats.
Starting at 3pm eastern start looking for Yahax. Follow the clues to his house. Loot the chests to get the keys to the boats. The loot and boats will be yours if you are lucky enough and smart enough to get them without being killed by fellow treasure seekers.

Have fun everyone.

*A thoughtful look as she read the last part and she decided to perhaps wonder by the docks to take a peek before all began. She looked up at the sun as if she could tell time by it and sighed this day would come faster then most it always did when something special was at hand. She knew she would most likely be one of the first to perish at the hands of others but it would be fun nonetheless or so she hoped.

After all what was there to lose that couldn't be replaced, she took stock of her belongings and muttered, the jewelry was going to be the worst loss. She shrugged and searched for others that would take their place. She went to the stable and began to file her dragons nail's and teeth as sharp as possible and purposely didnt feed the poor beast so that he be especially hungry!

All this was done before heading out toward the would be massacre, the unnecessary, indiscriminate killing of a large number of humans. She had seen what this type of hunt did in a semi controled evironment in her past home, here on Siege where there were no laws enforced would be a challenge indeed. It was time, she headed out the door into the light of day looking back once then turned away and began her new journey.*

(If nothing more it will be fun and I'm sure. Sorry about all the typing I'm stuck on roleplay mode, someone shoot me please!)

She had managed to get lost on the way somehow and arrived late it seemed for there was not one soul in sight. She walked through town after town and all she came upon were books laying on the ground here and there all seemed to have the same thing written within. It seemed to be some sort of Diary written by Yahaxithonix with directions to his house so she set off in search of that not knowing all had gone home to rest it seemed. She debated with her self as she walked as to whether wait for others or just go at it alone and since she was almost always on her own in any case thats ecactly what she did.

Her journey brought her to the town of Vesper where it seemed more books lay upon the ground but she had several in her pack already so she left them alone for now. She headed north out of town along the road in search of the said Blue Tower then turned north past several houses and just when she had given up hope in finding the place there it was in front of her! After killing a rogue Orge and such she went inside and seemingly took a wrong step and ended up on the other side of the house. The builder of this establishment was tricky indeed!

(more to come if warranted or asked for if not I'm done :p but surfice it to say I got the last 6 boats but as UO would have it one boat has a cluttered deck I cant seem to have uncluttered perhaps one day I can get that one out of the water too :) )
