We all know what this problem is I don't need to spell it out!

Can I just have an answer or some sort of assurement something is being done about this problem.

It has gotten so bad 1 guild actively flaunts the fact they do not adhere to the UO rule book in their own guild name. And trust me it's not a joke trying to draw attention away from that fact. It's worse then that ,they know that nothing is being done about this problem so they do whatever they feel like.

So give us an answer ,do you expect us all to use this tactic now because you are unable to deal with this problem.

I feel in all fairness EA is obligated to give me an answer so I know whether I should drop my accounts or not.

The funny part is B4 EA announced the Busted ,Punkbuster attempt telling everyone its ok to do what you like because we are unable to police it just shot this game in the foot . Good job there.

So please anyone at EA or UO able to give any answers regarding this problem make a choice so we all know whether to stop wasting our money or not.

This is beginning to delve into a legal issue with the game not being monitored properly and allowing its members, to steal others accounts and items due to their inaction in other known issues.And just ruin our normal fun play by these unkillable or untouchable characters .

Look, we have to face the facts. Cheaters and scammers are paying subs in a game nobody is paying to play anymore. UO will continue to exist but only if it is run on a shoestring budget. They are not going to pay people to remove a sizeable ammount of UO's paying population. UO is a niche game at best with a steady, loyal, but extremely low population (heck even DAoC kicks are butt in population and I don't know anybody that's even heard of it much less played it) that doesn't even register on EA's radar. That sooner you accept that, the better.

This is true, and OSI's and then EA's inaction 8-9 years ago when UOExtreme (No longer about so I assume its safe to mention) was about and exposing holes in the client has lead to todays environment.

The horse has well bolted and actually died of old age, to late to shut the gate now.

If you are refering to me, I do not speak for LNR as a whole, I speak for myself and only me. I chose to cheat because EA lets me but there are many in my guild that do not feel the same as me.

Well honestly my cheating evolved from alot of things that is EA's fault.

EA should had made UOA illegal or provided us with a free clone years ago they didn't so I found my on free clone. Now i started pvping when i was like 17 or something I didnt have a CC or anything to buy UOA at the time so I did what I had too. I have an account now with UOA but i refuse to stop using my clone because iv used it for like 6 years now.

The whole altered tile images i did a few years back because of the lag issues with this game.

The scripts in combat I dont have a good reason for other then I can focus on killing more and worry less about healing myself.

But i have never and never will use any speed hacks. I believe its unfair.

First of all, UOA cost $15 for a lifetime of use. You can't tell me that you, couldnt come up with any ingame items to sell for $15?

Your excuses may be accepted by some of the younger crowd around here, but you wouldn't last 1 minute in a debate trying to justify your actions.

The fact is you have an insecurity issue. This is proven by your virtual life actions. It is more important for you to win at all costs than it is to play fairly. Maybe you weren't hugged enough as a child, I donno (line stolen from "analyze this").

I can say this, that for me at least there is more satisfaction in winning fairly... and UOA does not have any spell casting scripts that help you win in PvP like your "helper".

Mark my words on this... "what goes around, comes around in life". All may be fine now but one day in REAL LIFE some person who thinks just like you, is going to take advantage of you, because he can and thinks its ok.

Iv been using that script for maybe 6 months now, I did just fine without before but I do even better with it. And if stratics done that Ill call my internet company tell them someone for my ip address and is trying to hack me, get my ip changed buy new account and still play uo, there is nothing you really can do to stop me.

Well, I don't know about you, but I've been playing UO since 1997 and still play my original character who was created back in 1997.

The only time I am ever in Tram is when I am burning murder counts at Luna Gate or Bank. Beyond that none of my characters ever set foot in Tram. I even have one of my 6 houses in Tram but I have only logged into maybe 3 times in two years.

but what I am getting at is this: Let's say we agree with you and say, in the beginning it was ok for you to use something other than UOA because you had no way to pay for it. I don't know that someone who uses illegal 3rd party programs to gain a competetive advantage in an online game should be calling ANYONE a loser.

My 15 year old nephew came over to visit a few weeks ago as I was playing Civ4. He immediately started asking "so, what hacks do you have for this?" I'm like "Why the hell would I need to cheat? I'm playing a single player game, for God's sake." We had an hour long chat about how he felt it necessary to not only cheat at every online game he plays because he doesn't think he should have to take time to get good enough to win legitimately, but he thinks it's perfectly acceptable to find ways to cheat at SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. Exactly wtf is the point of playing ANY game if you can't play by the rules? If you don't like the rules of the game, go create your own game and make the rules whatever you like.

I place the blame squarely on two things: the anonymity of the internet and parents who are absent or too precoccupied to take the time to teach their kids some kind of moral/ethic code. It's not possible to kick the internet square in the hoo-hoo, but I think it would be nice if Congress declared open season on the parents of these morality-challenged toddlers in teenage/20 something bodies.

a.) In-game gold.
