Heya, these are posted in Uhall but figured would post them here for later reference.

The Spires was the castle I designed and comes without internal walls so that you can add your own. The UOwiki shows how it comes if you wanna see the before shot. The Spires

This is the one I have done the Deco on Siege Perilous, if anyone want to go see it give me a pm as I need to access you :)

GROUND FLOOR: Entrance, Stable, Bar, Distillery, Cellars and Grand Stairs.

Ground Floor Siege Spires.jpg

SECOND FLOOR: Workroom ,Character storage, Lounge, Dining, lower verandah.

second floor Siege Spires.jpg

THIRD FLOOR: Guild Room, Library, Meetings, Portal Hub. Upper Verandah.

Third floor Siege Spires.jpg

ROOF: Lighthouse and Water feature, Pergola, Dining, Observatory, Custom Stair to lower verandahs.

Roof Siege Spires.jpg

Anyways that is it for now.

If anyone else has this design post what you have done with it I am interested to see how creative people get!

Cheers

The SPIRES
Second castle deco'd

ANGELWOOD CASTLE - OCEANIA SHARD

This version of the Spires is on Oceania Shard, on the point east of vesper and is open to the public if you want to see it live.

upload_2018-12-30_20-52-42.png

Ground Floor is Entrance, fountain display and holds my taxidermy trophies in a trophy room with seating area and fireplace.

upload_2018-12-30_20-54-57.png

Second floor is the main work room, character armory and equipment area, music room and sitting, deco storage, map storage and focus room. Patio area.

upload_2018-12-30_20-56-59.png

Third floor is the Guild Hall, with porters for transport, a rune library, teleport tiles to other locations, and the main guild meeting table. Patio area for drinks :)

I finally found a way to use that Blackthorn's throne in a deco setting that didn't look god awful lol. I quite like it like this!

upload_2018-12-30_20-58-44.png

Finally the roof garden, lighthouse, observatory and pergola with love seating for those romantic nights after you have beaten the snot out of an ogre!

upload_2018-12-30_21-1-20.png

You will note the additional stair way from the roof to the patio, and the mega ladder on the porch which gives very quick access to the roof if so desired. (ladder credit to Fink, Oceania for the idea).

Those castles look rather okayish... (Just kidding, they're wonderful). I've just converted mine to "The Spires" design and am still looking how to fill it now. Hope you don't mind if I nick a few ideas. I'm also curious to know how you got those stairs painted in red. Would you let me in on the secret, please?

Any stone items, walls, floors, stairs etc crafted in any granite, other than PLAIN so eg: dull copper or higher may be dyed with natural dyes crafted by a cook/alchemist. So just craft then dye. You cannot dye stone made with plain granite.

Erm, yes, thanks. This bit I know, but it's about the middle stairs of your 4-stairs-wide stairs. You painted those red. Do you mean to tell me you placed coloured granite over the original stairs?

Yes thats probably what she's done. Placing them above and lowering them until they are just 1 level above the original ones. If they are on the same level they will drop below the original stairs when you re-load the house (I use to mount/dismount an ethy to test if something changes).

All clear. Thanks for the info! I'm starting by installing all my crafting stations, but one day I also hope to make the place look pretty.

Hehe yeah sorry I have been away and yes, just lower the red granite over the existing stairs.

Very nice, I will have to come by your shard and take a look :)

I went to Oceania just to check it out 'live' and really loved it!! I accidentally stepped on teleport pad on roof taking me to another house and couldn't get back because it had restricted access lol

hehe sorry about that. If you log back in there one day yell out for me and I will take you for another run through. You probly ended up at my shop in luna or the yew storage castle which I am currently in the process of fixing up.

I might just set those porters to anyone so that doesnt happen again.

Room by room, my castle is taking shape. I'm wondering which material was used to build the cubes in the attached picture.
Who can tell me, please?

Yeah it is the only way to make Half walls in standard stone, get the small wall crafted pieces and stack them, as you can turn them you can make pillars with the small square bit or half walls by using the long side or even a corner bit. Add as many to the stack as you like to get the height you want.

My first attempt at "colouring" stairs was a success. I tell myself it doesn't look half bad. Still unsure whether I'll colour the inner part of the stairs too, but that will be a decision for later. The castle is still very much a work in progress.

Angelwood Warehouse

OK my third 'SPIRES' is my warehouse/event building on Oceania shard. You can access this building by using the teleport from my shop in sw luna (angelwood vendors) there is a rune to the Angelwood Warehouse from there.

The main use for the building is storage for all my junk so the roof and ground floor are basically storage areas, growing place for my plants, and bod storage.

However, as I run player events the middle two floors and half the ground floor will also be used for those functions. This is the outside roof area. And the garden patio wings that are visible from the auction hall on third floor, casino area on the second floor. I will post the other floors once I have finished with them but this is roof and 'outside' . You need to click on the pic to make it the full 'large' size for best effect to view it.

Angelwood Warehouse roof 2.jpg

Finally got round to uploading the other three floors on the Warehouse.

Ground Floor

Is split into two areas, the rear area is for pure storage with a teleport back to Angelwood Castle show above previously. Chests for items , the skull rug sits atop 6 stacked rugs (dolphin/rose under) which are harvested by picking up the front steps when ready. Bod and Box storage to the right on the storage vendors.

At the front is parking for events, or people can use the hitching post to stable. Deco on the left for those large deco items from primeval lich.

Angelwood warehouse ground.jpg

The next floor up is for the Casino, and the bar area at the back is for stuff such as trivia nights, bingo nights and other smaller events. To the right there is room to put other stuff as needed for events and the display for the set of VVV banners. There are also portals there for use by the public.

Angelwood warehouse first.jpg

Third floor

This floor is set up as an Auction Hall. The 16 bar pieces allow for storage of lots, the rune alongside each bar allows the auctioneer to edit the rune description with the 'reserve' price, and payments are made by direct trade with the auctioneer. The auctioneer can retrieve items directly from the bars to trade with the buyer allowing one person auctions to be held. Right now there is nothing on display for auction however when running players can access the room direct from my shop in luna on the teleport in the north right hand spire.

Angelwood warehouse third.jpg

The above is the main 'event' room so while currently set for auctions it can be easily altered for other events. The intent is to have a very large space that can be redone over and over depending on what you want to run.

For example I recently used the room for the xmas party.

Anyways that is my third 'Spires'

Two that I live in, one on Siege, one on Oceania, and the Warehouse also on Oceania.

If you want to view the warehouse you can access it from the teleport at my shop in luna. Take the teleport with the red sparkle on it.

@MissEcho , would you be able to explain how to do the mega-ladder that you credited to Fink? I looked at your Angelwood castle on Oceania and can see that there are some short stone wall corner pieces that must be providing some of the support. I tried raising the first one up using a gaza but it's not working, so I'm obviously missing something crucial. I've used the method here ( Ladder on Castle & Keep Method ) for putting up a ladder at the front of an ordinary castle, but what you've done is different. I'm decorating a Spires castle too. Thank you!

Hi Tina,

been asked this before so will just copy what I wrote the other person who asked me.

What you need:

3 goza
3 ladders (1 Castle Ladder North (top), 2 regular North Ladders (middle/ground))
1 rough block
4-5- short wall pieces. (or any deco item that blocks eg, baskets)

Steps:

1. Place your gozas where you want the ladder (better against the wall on either side). Place the rough block on the steps

1620820722131.png

2 Go to the roof and raise the two goza closest to the wall to the line where the third floor shows. You have to be above the item you want to raise if you are taking it really high.
3. Place CASTLE LADDER NORTH by targeting the goza closest the wall

1620820752788.png

4. Remove the goza closest to the wall, lower the other goza til you get it to he level of the second floor. (may want to place the removed goza back against the wall and raise it to give you the right height for lining up the second floor) Raise the goza still on the ground closest to the step up to meet it. The place then middle ladder, by targeting the goza closest to the wall (or the one in the middle if you replaced the first goza). (note: the ground and middle ladders are NOT castle ladders just REGULAR ladders) You can see in the pic below roughly how the ladder's overlap a touch. You may need to raise or lower the goza til you get it right.

1620820908683.png

5. Remove gozas place bottom ladder (regular ladder not castle) and then you can remove the rough block if you want. (Cannot place the ladders without the gozas/rough block in front of where you wanna place the ladder).

1620820936064.png

6. You will find you may fall through (think you can position the ladders to prevent this but I would of needed to muck around a bit more and couldn't be bothered lol so I just put a small wall piece to stop that problem under the ladder so it blocks as shown. That one little block stops you falling through.

1620821809040.png

At this point you can go up and down the ladder ok but may fall off the side. So I also put blocking blocks as shown by placing and raising up to stop you falling off the side of the ladder further up. Any item that blocks can be used for this, baskets are good etc There are probably a ton of better 'blocking' ideas but I am not playing much atm to bother looking though my junk for the 'you beaut' item.

So positioned here as shown (the two closest to my character) will stop you falling off the side of the ladder, they can be left on the ground but if you raise them higher then they don't block you on the patio. In the pic i originally posted i just left the normal grey stone and put them in one further raised them up to give the appearance of them supporting the ladder (turned in a dif direction) they actually serve no purpose in the original pic.

1620822475348.png

You can muck around with the placement of the 'blockers' til it is as you like, or use baskets or other blocking items. Easiest is as show here, I used colored blocks to make it easier to see. They are only there to stop you falling through the ladder or off the side.

That is a really rough guide, but i am sure you can work it out from that and muck about with it til it suits your purpose.

Cheers MissE
