The one fault with only one ship....

If I lose both keys...I have to wait for the old ship to decay...I am currently locked off my boat and cannot get on to get my body (forgot to insure second key). So....now that account cannot use a boat for however long it takes for the boat to decay...

anyone know any tricks to get on to the boat without a key?

Outside paging a GM... you are out o luck.

As a golden rule, the second ship key should NEVER be taken out of the bank. That's why it spawns as such. You can't loose anything inside your bank box.

Ya..well if you lose the first one...kinda SoL on not taking it out....but thanks. Ya...I am sure the GM will not be able to help me...give me some nonsense about looking at there crappy help pages or tell me they cannot help me recover an in-game item....Thank you though for the response.

Sorry if come across with an attitude...just aggravated as I do not know exactly what all I had in that guys backpack....

Just to top it off...body just decayed to bones..can see it from other ship..LOL...cannot reach them..if only I had died closer to the edge of the ship and not in the middle!

Yeah... the GM page system does reak more then help most of the time.

The keys can be insured, I'm sure.

Have to kind of take these hard lessons and learn to get around the same problem happening again. 99.99% of the time, I always reach my body in the extremely rare times I die. It tends to make you a little "over-confident" and you think everything will turn out fine despite insured items. Then some jerk gets you murdered when you're not paying attention in a totally safe place this last week... making you loose a 500k dread flute that's not easy to replace. hehe. Have to go with the rule... better safe then sorry.

And also you can place them in rune books?

If you dont have high seas can you mark runes on your boat? I honestly know very little about high seas....dont use it for anything other than to use a few select items I bought...

Oh… crud. The point I was making with paging a GM… lost keys or not, you still OWN the boat. When the new ship runes become bad and you’ve lost a perfectly good boat, an actually helpful GM will help you locate the boat. Why not for the small ones?

It is one ship per Char. not per account.

First off over the years I have learned many things and how to do boats with keys is the top on that list of what to do if:

NEVER ever take the 2nd key out of your bank i dont care what you need to do this is not stressed enough if you do take it out.

Second insure the first key!! and after you have done that and if your still going to a dangerous area or situation LOCK IT DOWN!! You can recall off the locked down key.
Contrary to popular misbeleif you can opperate a boat without the key even in fel you dont need the key on you.

If you die on your boat first rule is dont pannic.... you got time. Get your boat away from the area. Yes you can move the boat as a ghost. This might keep you from dieing the second time if your asailant is still in the area. Once safe if not close to land (I do hope you keep your map up for traversing the seas) use the stuck option to get you to a shore location to get rezed quickly. I always keep my suit insured if not blessed for ease but if you dont have this luxury a few recall scrolls in the bank are a life saver! Once back to your boat your in great shape to get body.

No one should loose a boat key... and loosing a second is so ............

If you loose the first key you should make sure your boat is in a safe area at shore, empty it of all contents and then get second key(this is the only time you should remove the 2nd key from the bank) and dock the boat. You are then safe to replace the ship and reload....

It is if, as I suspect, he's on Siege - in which case my answer would be 'get a boat with a cannon and scuttle it' Scuttled boats lose security so then you can board it.

Recalled to the first one out in nomans land far from shore and refresed it..was at slightly only since i do them every 2 days..

Tryed to recall to second one that i think was near a server border..says cant locate ship and rune when blank..
Paged GM he said go to harmor master ..well harbor master cant find it also..
GM reply after was..it must have decayed..told him it could not have since i refreshed them 2 days earlyer and that it must be by a server border..

Next reply was..whe can not replace lost or stolen goods..have a nice day , and thank you for playing Ulitma Online..

And yes i made sure it says like new when refreshing it..

the last time i paged a gm he said thanks for playing warhammer online

on a side note, i guess luring stuff onto people is ok in tram now..
i had a guy luring those blood elementals on me three or four a time for about 2 hours and recall out.
i paged a gm and he said to change areas..


as far as losing both keys, i dont see how that could happen you can recall to it without taking the key out of the bank box.

A lot of posting over a bag pf sending... I am not sorry about your loss of a bag of sending. I have seen them for 1000 gold, about what it costs to insure 2 items. I can cast 2 energy vortexes and have that gold in about 30 seconds.

You forgot to insure the key, you removed the second key and didnt insure it.

I went to a champ spawn but I forgot regs and bandages, I probably shouldn't get too upset if the red player I just med wont let me borrow some... Hey, why is everything black and white now... Does anyone have the customer support number for Dell. I think the color leaked out of my monitor.

I've never used it, but if you use the context menu on a harbor master, there is an abandon ship option. This will probably delete your current ship so that you can place another. Hopefully this is a last resort.

A harbor master has a ship recall rune option in their context menu. Select it and 100 gold will be withdrawn from your bank and you'll receive a new key.

Just seen posts. Ill check with harbor master and see if he can get me boat...if not o well. Ill just let it decay. Its a 13k small old school ship. I also play on Sonoma...and it is tram side..so not scuttling...

I think his main issue is the fact that he cannot place another large boat until this one is gone, which to me seems kinda useless. If I were him I'd call a GM too, but I'd not ask him for my boat back, but to delete it and be done with it...

I learned about not ever taking the 2nd key from one's bankbox a looong time ago. I also learned that thieves liked keys. And I learned a whole lot more, but those are different stories
